List of Kathleen Soe Do's Reviews
I have never wanted to walk out of an appointment until meeting with Dr. Soe. My wife was in the patient seat and her feet couldn’t reach the ground so she put them on the foot rest. Upon walking in Dr. Soe told her to get her feet off and if her mother didn’t teach her anything. During our skin examination she was more interested in telling us what procedures she had done than talk about our issues. She was very rude and confrontational about very simple issues such as needing to use more sunscreen and was lauding her own cosmetic dermatology usage which we know way too much about. My wife’s acne problems or my own skin issues were never discussed despite our bringing them up. Overall, we found her rude and not helpful and we will not be returning. I would recommend anyone looking for a dermatologist to look elsewhere.
My wife went to see Dr. Soe for the first and last time. She was rude, dismissive, and simply recommended a bunch of creams and moisturizer, which is not the problem. She even posts an Erma Bombeck quote regarding God, but when my wife mentioned her cancer and that God has her, she never expressed sympathy and left the room saying, "Yeah whatever God you pray to." She deserves zero stars or negative stars, but you can't do that here. Being that my wife already has two other types of cancer and a possible third, the "benign" tumors Dr. Soe said she had, without any biopsy, on her skin are supposed to be nothing to worry about. She never looked into her ears to look at the itching and flaking, and simply said it was from scratching too much. Never even examined her! I wish I was born with clairvoyance like that. Needless to say, she'll be getting checked at Moffitt, where she gets her other treatments. Just wanted something closer to home, but don't let convenience determine your doctor. Lesson learned.
Several months ago, I had my first… and LAST appointment with Dr. Soe. She walked in the exam room - never greeted me by name or even a “good morning”. Then we wasted at least 5 (of my vast 15 mins.) “discussing” MY FATHER’S skin cancer history. My father WAS NEVER HER PATIENT! And, I’m the daughter whom took him to his skin doctor appointments! Dr. Soe (for whatever reason) wanted to argue with me about my dad’s TWO bouts with MELANOMA. She was “sure” I was wrong. “Everyone who hears ‘skin cancer’ THINKS MELANOMA when it’s just a least dangerous skin cancers”. She’s was WRONG!! We have melanoma history in our family!!! Very surely, augmentative and frankly, just RUDE. She preformed a “micro” exam (my 1st visit to a dermatologist in years), didn’t check my scalp (I’m very Irish - fair skin, blonde hair & blue eyes) nor even my slightly lower part of my back by my unders to check my upper buttocks or lower back. I felt like a Medicare Card”. Took her gloves off and walked out of the room. No “nice meeting ya” or “see ya next visit” or “have a nice day” - NADA. Just said, “You are very lucky.” (almost like she was ‘mad’ at me for NOT HAVING ANY SIGNS OF CANCER!!” There are too many good docs out there to waste my time AND MONEY on this nonsense. Find someone else…
Felt like a “Medicare Card”. Surely, rude and a complete waste of my money & my time. Look else. Felt like she didn’t give a darn about me - the human being. Seemed “preoccupied?”
I’m writing this review on behalf of Mr. Kowalski. I had been a patient of Dr. Soe for a number of years. Service to her patients has severely declined and her emotional outbursts are problematic. She will not engage in problem solving snd is prepared to abandon the patient even after delivering g a shattering diagnosis. If you are searching for a competent and caring dermatologist, one who will listen to your concerns I strongly urge you to bypass Dr. Kathleen Soe.
Waiting for pathology reports, phones go unanswered, messages not returned. Wife and I will not be back to this office. When complaining they make excuses rather than acknowledging a problem.

After waiting months for an appointment with Dr. Soe, she told me that a scab I had uner my chin for several months was nothing to worry about. After leaving, this continued to bother me. Had to wait another few months for an appointment with another dermatologist. Had a biopsy and it was cancer. Waited another month for surgery. It had spread and surgery took 3 hours. Very large incisions and extremely painful. Beware!!!
Dr. Soe walked into the examination room, took my phone out of my hand without asking, and said: "I love a man with a small phone". She seemed competent, but she was rude and rushed the exam, then said goodbye and left abruptly. I told the nurse that we never talked about a second skin problem that I had disclosed earlier to the same nurse, so she went to go get Dr. Soe. Dr. Soe came back into the room and said sarcastically: "yeah, you need to tell me everything while I'm still in the room". She clearly has some emotional issues that she needs to work through, but I won't be back to find out if she has.
I showed up for an appointment and the receptionist said something under her breath and I asked her to repeat what she said. She told me Dr. Soe had an emergency, you didn't get our message? I looked at my phone, no missed call no message.I informed her that I got no call... Did I want an appointment w/ PA? No. I was already frustrated with Dr. Soe for having me "hang in there, it's a marthon..." w/my skin issue. Fast forward to today, I called the office to get my records sent to another Dr. I had called 2 days prior and was told the paper for me to release them would be e-mailed to me. No e-mail. Back to today. The receptionist says she was sending them while I was in front of my computer. No papers. She asks, can't you just come to the office? I told her if I come to the office it will not be good for anyone. Dr. Soe, keep em' coming back!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
