Great doctor! My daughters have seen Dr. Okonkwo for many years. She is caring, patient, and cares about the socio-emotional well-being of my children.

Awful! Mean Doctor. Always had something negative to say. I truly believe she don't live her profession. She should of chosen a different career if you cannot be nice to children.

Ruthless money hungry and selfish. The office staff range from RBF to outright rude. It was something I was willing to put up with (and did for 4 years) until the latest incident: For some reason our insurance didn't pay $ 150 of immunization. That happens often in doctors offices, and when you return for next visit you pay your balance and whatever current charges. Well, I called to make an appointment and I was rudely told "this needs to be paid now" Uh... ok!! I told her I was driving, I'd pay when I saw them next week when I brought my son in for regular checkup. Two days pass and I am being called by a COLLECTIONS OFFICE asking for $200. Cancelled the appointment and vowed to never return.

Dr. Okonkwo is the primary physician for my three kids. I love that she and the staff make time for us even if we don’t have an appointment. The doctor is patient and listens when I have questions. I love that she talks to the children and gets to know them as individuals.

Dr. Okonkwo is an excellent physician. She is the primary for all 3 of my children for the last 12 years. She’s attentive and is never in a rush. Her staff is amazing as well.

She’s awful! She’s rude, doesn’t listen, and is practically a bully. All she does is insult you and kick you out her office when you speak up about it. So awful.

Terrible. She's rude, and honestly a bully. Truly an awful experience. She talks more than she listens and will not help at all.

Things may have changed since I went to this practice. I went to the practice while I was pregnant after reviewing the insurance list for my area. Initially, I liked the doctor. However, when I returned after my son was born, I didn't really like the doctor or the practice, but I didn't know that there was anything different as a new parent. The wait was too long. The doctor was a bit condescending when sharing information. They are strictly by the book and I learned that being a parent isn't. If you want a western medicine model then they are perfect. When my son was 3 months old, the front desk informed me after the visit that my insurance wasn't accepted because the doctor was no longer in my network. They charged me the full amount $420 and did not agree to make any adjustments. I was willing to pay a reduced amount since it was a mistake, but not the whole $420. They pretty much sacrificed a relationship over one well child visit, but it forced me to find the type of healthcare in line with what I needed for my son.

I'm a mother of 5 and all of m children had been going to the same doctor since birth. once i had my 5th child she retired (after 55 years) shortly after and i had to find another doctor. i cant really remember how i found Dr. Okonkwo but i was impressed from the first day. her staff was amazing and she seemed to really care and offers her input. she was open to answering any and all of my questions. Her offices are consistent with follow ups after an ER visit and she has always made herself available even after ours if i had an emergency or questions on if i should go to the ER or not. the office is very kid friendly and it has such a beautiful homey feeling. My daughter even loves the fact that every time she visits she gets to leave with a book. overall i love how she interacts with my daughter. the only down side is when its time for shots my daughter is not her biggest fan but she quickly gets over that when she gets a treat for being brave. I have to truly say I've gotten it right both times with my children's pediatricians. My daughter is now 4 years old and i have no interest on changing her doctor. looks like we will be with her until she retires as well
