Dr Koppuzha genuinely cares for her patients. She is very knowledgeable, available and excellent with follow up concerns.

I've been a patient for about 2 years now and see Dr about 6 times a year for general check up s etc ask required. So back in June July time frame go get my blood drawn from Quest so they send results back to Doctor. I then have a follow up with Dr B and in the results she's see Psa usually spiked from last reading about 3 months prior. She immediately sends me back to Quest thinking it maybe a false positive ( staff gets me in Quest right away). I go Quest sends the results back to Dr B. Turns out to be a true reading. Doctor then issues a script for MRI asap. I go on the date up in Venice location I live in Placida so get the results back from MRI not good so Hurricane Ian is getting serious at this time. Like 5 days away. Now from the results of the MRI Doctor and staff call me being proactive and make sure I follow up with a Urologist in Englewood. At this point I'm thinking hurricane and Doctor and Staff are thinking biopsy. Stacy office receptionist Ashley office nurse called me 3 times to make sure I followed up. So hurricane hit condo was wrecked I had to move to my daughter's house in Tampa but I immediately called Moffitt as soon as I could. THANK GOD DR BEENA K AND STAFF WERE RELENTLESS GETTING ME TO GO FOR THE BIOPSY! I'm not the follow up kinda guy. If you guys know what I mean. Now I'm still going to Moffitt and maybe for a while but but my Ecologist, Urologist at Moffit told me if my cancer would have spread which it had not my prognosis would have been a lot different and not in a good way. Now it's not curable but it's treatable. Doctor BEENA K and STAFF are the best in my book. Professional, Caring, polite Prompt and courtesy, but cool and RELENTLESS thank God! Even before the above incident they were excellent. Thanks again u guys have a great Christmas and Holiday season! Gerry M. When I first went to see this doctor several months ago, I thought she was attentive, caring and knowledgeable. I even wrote an excellent review for her. Over time, however, I realized she was not attentive or caring but single minded in her approach to my care and a bully. On my most recent visit all I needed was refills for my blood pressure meds but she did not give me the refills. She insisted on scheduling a complete physical first. I have been taking these meds for years and they are successfully managing my pressure. I explained that I couldn’t fit a physical in at this time and she begAn lecturing me about listening to her and doing what she says . I am an intelligent, educated senior and I believe my doctor and I are a team working together managing my health. I let her know I would be changing doctors immediately. Beware all! Good riddance! My stress level has dropped considerably since making this decision.

Horrible person. ANY other doctor will be a better option. Treated my spouse so poorly we left halfway through the visit and MADE SURE WE DID NOT GET CHARGED by immediately calling the insurance company to let them know what happened. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS QUACK!

I would not go any where else. Dr. K is very thorough, and is very vested in your medical care. You'd be very lucky to have her as your doctor!

Terrible experience with this doctor!! After my mom passed away all of my moms other doctors had no problem sending us medical records as we requested. We fought for months to get medical records from Dr. Koppuzha and she kept making excuses and saying we never asked for them. Finally we called again and threatened to get a lawyer. She had the nerve to tell us to pay for her to hire a receptionist if we want the medical records. She also said "I did not cause your mothers death" which was the farthest thing from our minds and can't believe she said that. My mother passed in the hospital from covid but we still have the right to obtain medical records. She is so cheap she tries to do everything herself. When she finally agreed we had my dad go to the office to pick them up and she made him sign a paper saying that he received the records BEFORE she would even hand him the envelope. What she gave him was practically nothing for the length of time my mom had been going there. So unorganized and unprofessional. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone! At a time we were already struggling and having a hard time she did everything she could to make things harder for us.

I've been a patient of Dr. koppuzha for 22 years. During that time she has shown excellent medical acumen including diagnosing cancer from a routine blood draw. The Doctor is more than a physician she is a valued friend. I will continue as a loyal patient. She is the epitome of the human touch.

I am so grateful to have Dr. Beena Koppuzha as my physician. Recently, I had 2 serious medical conditions. She responded immediately to my medical needs getting prompt intervention and “spot on” treatment. Highly recommend this professional highly skilled doctor.

The thing I like about Dr Koppuzha is that she is no nonsense and she LISTENS. This makes a difference to me. I feel that she is invested in my staying healthy.
