List of Kenneth W Pfahler's Reviews
My first visit with Dr Pfahler and I am wishing I had went to him years ago. His knowledge and patience are amazing. He explained all the procedures in detail. I am confident he will resolve my issue.
Very frustrated with office staff. Never even saw the doctor. Would not go back.
Treated me for 6 weeks for pre-op A-fib condition with medications, which gave me a health threatening side effects. Ignored my phone calls regarding those severe side effects. When I refused to accept more risky medication and asked for a second opinion referral to electrophysiologist he refused my rights for second opinion and terminated me from his practice citing doctor/patient trust breach. He was right, he breached my trust by ignoring my severe side effects and trying to prevent me from a second opinion. He offered medication prescription for 30 days after termination, but never returned my phone call just for that. Two weeks after termination I had heart ablation by electrophysiologist (that he assumed I won't be able to make appointment without his referral) and was A-fib free and regained my life back. He doesn't care for patient's health, just want to keep for as long as possible.
My GP ran an EKG as part of clearance for surgery. It was wildly abnormal. The hospital re-ran the EKG before surgery and it was also abnormal. This was worrisome, as I did not have a known heart problem. Dr. Pfahler’s office quickly fit me into their schedule, although I was not a previous patient. They did their own EKG, which was normal (proper lead placement). What a relief! I have symptoms, which Dr. Pfahler did not automatically discount. He ordered follow up testing (not immediate) to be sure all is well. Honestly, could you ask for more? Dr. Pfahler was kind and patient, even though, I’m sure, most of his patients have far more serious concerns. He also has a sense of humor. Nowadays, it can be hard finding a medical office that 1) answers the phone, 2) is kind and patient, 3) does not automatically dismiss concerns. Everybody at this office, from the receptionist, to the doctor’s assistant, to Dr. Pfahler, to the scheduling person, was friendly and professional. I don’t expect I have anything wrong with my heart, but, if I did, I would want Dr. Pfahler as my cardiologist.
Dr. Pfahler and his very caring staff have given us excellent care for some time now. We are lucky to have this outstanding doctor and role model in our Englewood community.
Took my husband in to be evaluated for bradycardia and some other issues. Both the staff and Dr. Pfahler were very pleasant. Dr. Pfahler performed some tests and took the time to explain the results and made recommendations for his care. Made some recommendations for medication changes as well (prescribed by another doctor), that were probably causing his issues. I would highly recommend Dr. Pfahler!
Cannot believe that as a cardiologist he thinks that a BP of 300 over is somewahat acceptable. Have attempted to get mine down only to hear I cannot help you, you better obtain a second opinion. This after he xhanged medixation and was provided daily readings of my BP. Very Very sad. Other than that he is a fairly good Dr.
I have been a patient for several years and it appears he restrict his visits to about 15 minutes during which he makes notes on his computer. In my last 2 visits I waited 2 1/2 hrs, and l hour respectively before I saw him. He has adjusted my meds and I have undergone several procedures but I had to see another cardiologist to learn about my options. It would seem Dr. Pfahler has more patients than he can handle and now is spending Fridays certifying those who want to use cannabis for medical reasons. Really.
I also worked with many patients when I was performing heart surgery in Sarasota. Dr Pfahler is an extremely talented cardiologist , very kind to patients and I would absolutely recommend him with highest recommendation.
Thorough and listen to any questions. One of the best doctors I have.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
