Steven M. Tang's Online Review Report Card

My elderly father has been seeing Dr. Tang for sometime now. From the first visit to just most recently his staff, most importantly nurse Roslyn, are very rude. Their lack of empathy for patients is awful. They have spoken to my father and my wife on several occasions like they are children. My father wears hearing aids and has difficulty hearing, the staff as well as Dr. Tang yell and become agitated with him as if it’s his fault. I called and complained about Roslyn the rude nurse and I spoke directly to Dr. Tang I explained about his nurse being rude and speaking to my father in a rude manner, his reply was he’s hard of hearing and we are not being rude, I said to him that speaking in a rude condescending manner to my father is not going to be tolerated any longer. Dr. Tangs reply was if your not happy with us then can go elsewhere! How pitiful that this is what our healthcare industry for elderly has come to. Rude non caring doctors, nurses and support staff.

Unfortunately in this review I cannot review the doctor himself. However it took me a year to find a doctor I was willing to see and then 4 months ago I set the appointment that appointment was today I have PTSD, ASD and anxiety issues not to include right now being in a high stage 1 hypertension. The receptionist was so rude and yelling at me called my wife a liar and being such a. (not going to use that word) that she set off my PTSD and anxiety and I left I could not go back in for my appointment. I have canceled my wife's appointment that's next week but unless I discovered that that woman is no longer there I will not be back no matter how good of a doctor he is. the receptionist attitude is a bad reflection on him

It took a while to get an appointment but this practice is worth the wait. I've never had a dr go through new patient paperwork page by page and guess what else....he EXAMINED me...that's right folks checked ears,eyes, nose, lungs and heart and reflexes I mean the whole nine yards...best place EVER!!!

I have been going to Dr Tang and trust him with my life. He explains things, answers questions, and is honest and truthful. I appreciate all that he does.

Dr.Tang is an excellent doctor. I can’t even count how many times I’ve called in need of a “quick” appointment, and I’ve been afforded one. His staff is very professional and cordial. As for Dr. Tang, he is very thorough and takes time to listen. As a matter of fact, most appointments I actually compile a list of talking points for Dr. Tang to address, and he’s happy to do it. The best primary care doctor I’ve ever had. I would recommend him highly.

I missed the appointment cutoff by 2 minutes for traffic beyond my control. After waiting over a month for an appointment standing in the office I was forced to reschedule and wait an entire month again. Egregious

I have been going here for over 5 years. Dr Tang has been thorough and answers every question I ask. He has never rushed me through and I have full confidence in him. He is always professional and I highly recommend him.

Love my Doctor

I won’t bore you by bemoaning what in my opinion are all the foibles of this entire practice, just the highlights. The entire front office is unfriendly and rude. Very uncomfortable environment. The answer to any question is “NO!” Or “No, we can’t do that!” usually before you finish your question. Never a smile, never a kind word or pleasantry of any kind. They all look so unhappy, almost miserable. While Dr. Tang is obviously intelligent and very knowledgeable, this is lost in his lack of personality, courtesy or kindness. While I select a physician based on their education and knowledge and not personality alone, I do expect that physician to have a least a some degree (even just a little) of human relations, empathy and to communicate with me in a respectable manner. None of which apply at this office. Dr. Tang does not like to answer questions or engage in any conversation which is not coming from his mouth. He interrupts me, talks over me or replies with a short, cheeky answer. Of course he has reminded me on every visit that I have terrible insurance. A Medicare Advantage plan that he himself accepts at his practice. Accepted voluntarily at his practice. Perhaps that is why he deems me as unimportant. A nuisance to rob him of his valuable time, better spent with patients who have better paying insurance. Hmmm. Did not know the ethics standards in the Hippocratic Oath was only for patients with the “good” insurance, or deep pockets. I do not write this lightly. I have done a lot of contemplation before posting this review. But, the bottom line is he and his staff make me feel like I am a burden and I leave that office feeling badly about myself. And that should not be. No one deserves to made to feel that way. Take from this what you will. I put here what I have actually observed and what I have felt over 5 or 6 months. The decision to change to another doctor, it was like such a weight was lifted off of me.

Him and his staff go above and beyound to make sure that his patients health is theyre top pritory with care. I have been with him for atleast 15+yrs. He's the best doctor that I've ever had. he cares about his patients more than his pocketbook. I've never met any dr. that does that.He's A good person and I trust anything he tells me. Thank you for being such A Great doctor
