List of Catherine Manolakis's Reviews
Absolutely loved my appointments with Dr. Manolakis. After several visits with the local Camden group of gastroenterologists, finally found a doctor with a great bedside manner. She is thorough in her examination, yet still maintains a friendly demeanor. I was so glad my insurance was participating with Borland Groover practice again when I needed care.
For those reading this review, please know that I have NEVER felt the need to post a Drs review online or elsewhere. I’m an RN, BSN and have been for 18 years. My 72 year old mother had a Panendoscopy and multiple biopsies were done during this procedure, performed on the afternoon of 8-16-21 with Dr. Philips. Besides us being given an entirely different patients discharge summary (Hello HIPAA Violation), no complications during her procedure were communicated by the discharge nurse. After we got her home, she complained of slight esophageal discomfort, as expected, and moderate sternum pain, unexpected. We initially thought the sternum pain might’ve been from the doctor having to dilate during the procedure but that should begin to subside as she passes the air. Later in the evening around 11:15 pm we noticed a very large bruise on her midline sternum in the exact area of her earlier report of discomfort.Slightly alarmed, I called the answering service and received a c/b from Dr. Manolakis to which I described the bruise along with phlegm/mild discomfort/issues with her clearing her throat. Mainly we were hoping for some reassurance and advice or recommendations to get her through the night. She stated the bruising was absolutely not normal and unlikely caused from her endoscopy. I asked if it was possible something was placed in this area during the procedure and she said no, but she wasn’t there, in a very agitated manner. When I asked if we should be concerned or could she recommend something to help soothe my mother throat discomfort and phlegm, she replied that if I was concerned or thought she needs to go to the ER to feel free to take her—pls note: I never mentioned the ER and was just hoping for advice. The call lasted under 4 minutes and she made a point to remind me that it was 11:30 at night and there was nothing else she could help us with and she would leave a message for a nurse to call back tomorrow. I asked if she could please either schedule my mom to be seen (she interrupted and immediately responded NO) or could she add that request to the nurse message that we would like my mother to be seen in the office tomorrow. She rudely replied no she would not add that request but the Drs nurse would have a message to call back.I couldn’t believe the complete lack of care or concern for the patients symptoms ~ that coupled with her unprofessionalism but mainly her blatant disregard for our concerns and reason/need to call was shocking…I’ve seen and heard a lot during my career but this experience supersedes any other. The fact that she seemed more irritated that I called at 11:30pm than she did about the possibility of something potentially being wrong with the patient (my mother). This experience speaks volumes about this dr but it also provides an opportunity to share this experience with those looking up reviews, my fellow colleagues, our local community and certainly those I know personally who are referred to B&G!I will be reporting this to the higher ups tomorrow but felt led to post here so others are aware. I do hope to report back with a more positive update on how B&G handles this situation.M~
Excellent Gastroenterologist. She is informative, asks appropriate and specific questions. She is easy to talk with, and her knowledge is extensive. She makes recommendations, gives sample medication , and assures you understand a new diet regimen, meds. I recommend her to anyone with Bowel complaints . Her nursing staff and office personnel are helpful and very friendly. Highly Recommend with no reservations.
Dr. Manolakis was wonderful. as a new patient I was extremely impressed with her knowledge and interest in my health. she listened, asked questions and made it happen that I was scheduled for tests the next day. I am thrilled with the care and concern. Had my previous gastro for 20+ years, what a relief to find another great doctor.
Dr Manolakis answered all my questions and made me feel as if I were her only patient. She is caring and confident. I felt that I was in very capable hands.
I am so grateful to have found Dr. Manolakis. She and her nurse Carson have excellent bed side manner and I feel confident that she will work toward a solution for my medical issue. The office was efficient and I was seen on time. Highly recommend!
I had previously visited another physician within the practice who was dismissive and not too concerned with helping me find a resolution. After yet another exhaustive visit to the ER, I realized I would have to see someone new. I'm so glad I chose Dr. M, she's the best! She took the time to sit down and listen. She didn't interrupt, she asked questions, and takes with me, rather than at me. By the end of my visits I felt like there may be relief in sight.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
