I was referred to this Doctor by my endocrinologist. I called the office to setup an appointment. The Millienum Group staff told me that before he can see me I have to fill out a survey before I can be seen. WHAT ARE THEY DOING PICKING AND CHOOSING WHO THEY WISH TO SEE?? They would not mail it they want YOU to go to their office and pick it up and mail it back. This is pretty bad service.
Dr. Burford has been my primary care physician for over 25 years. He always takes time to listen so he can pinpoint the problem and find the best solution. He sets a patientcentered tone for his office and his staff is always friendly and helpful. I dont mind waiting for him because I know he is spending time listening closely to someone else. A good doctor and a fine man all around
Dr Burford is the best the Gold Standard. He has a close relationship with his patients and an amazing ability to remember details about them. Dr Burford stays very current on all aspects of internal medicine and stays up on many of the issues in some specialties. He is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Florida and there are opportunities to meet young newlyminted doctors who are learning from a very bright Caring professional who treats his patients like family.
Dr Burford is the worst doctor I’ve encountered in my life he’s a plodder works slowly doesn’t like to listen and loves the sound of his own voice. He’s probably okay as a primary care physician if you don’t have any health issues but if you’re encountering problems he’s not for you. Need a referral some specialists insist on them and some insurances require them? You’ll wait for a month or more... my current doctor processes them in a day or two. I’ve also gone in for a visit with Burford have him tell me to come back in three months only to have his staff tell me that he’s booked out for four and a half months and that’s the earliest I can be seen . No apologies. He doesn’t want to hear from you so don’t tell him about your concerns. Much of what passes for the practice of medicine on the island is passable at best but this is the worst.
Excellent. Everyone is so nice and helpful. Very competent staff.
I just started going to Dr. Burford and was in agreement with the other 5 star reviews. He was very patient and meticulous. I look forward to more visits in the future with him as my doctor The only thing I can say negative is that he may be too hard working and have too many patients so it is more difficult to see him quickly.
Best doctor in area
I have received excellent care from Dr. Burford for many years.
Garald is an EXCELLENT doctor but getting thru on the phone is dreadful if you are sick forget ityou will be well by appointment time and the office is crowded and you might have to wait an hour. But this is all because he takes his time with you. He CARES. I do think he has too much on his plate. He needs to leave a longer appointment time so the patients wait is shorter. Remember the people out there waiting feel bad enough The longer they wait the more ill they are going to feel.
Because Ive moved around the country Ive had many primary care physicians in my life and Dr. Burford is the best. He has the usual skills youd want current in technology and pharmaceuticals up to date on findings etc. In addition he has uncommon common sense and he uses it freely. He even gave tips on how to deal with my parent who had Alzheimers...at no charge. Its no wonder hes a mentor for new med students in internal medicine.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
