Worse experience ever. From the time we got there the staff was rude. I brought my son in who was vomiting and having trouble breathing. The nurse that cheeked us in was rude and wouldn’t even let my son sit down because of his symptoms. When we were brought to the back the staff was cold and uncaring. The nurse just yanked my sons mask off to take his temperature. Then we waited forever just to get a covid test done. It took me complaining for them to finally come give my son the test. Then when the results finally came in the doctor told us the results said she would be right back with my sons prescription and discharge papers. That was the last we saw of her. After waiting over an hour we left. Horrible experience I will not be returning to that hospital and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Staff needs to work on the way they treat patients and their family and stop worrying so much about socializing.

Came here twice and pretty much had my time wasted both times with a front desk person who didn’t seem to really care about anything. Do better.

Friendly doctors and staff. If you are lucky enough to have Dr .Clair treat you just know that you are in great hands. He is super polite knowledgeable and he REALLY cares Awesome experience

ER review only After living in Fleming Island for 3 years my family has used this ER 6 times and 2 of the 6 times were good and the rest were terrible. Both good times were chest pain related so if this is your emergency medical issue give them a try Otherwise go to Orange Park Medical. At Baptist Clay The nurses and the doctors are the issues. The PAs and other staff have all been cordial and helpful. The doctors all have typical god complexes and are narcissists that are always too busy and rude. The nurses are almost always rude or painfully nice where you can tell its forced. My spouse had to use their ER not long ago because of an infection in a tooth that our dentist was not helpful in easing pain that had been persistent for a solid week. Ultimately the nurse told my wife that they would give her a few pain killers but as few as possible.OF NOTE I understand we have an opiate crisis in the US right now but my immediate family includes NO DRUG ADDICTS and we really dont appreciate being treated like we are addicts of some sort.The nurse then came in the room and literally threw the paperwork at my spouse and walked out without saying anything. Thank goodness the Registration attendant was in the room so my spouse was able to figure out that the papers were for discharge. I really want to give this ER 1 star but they were helpful when one of my family members had chest pains 2 incidences. Another negative incident included my daughter having a broken arm. This ER sent her to a hospital in downtown Jacksonville fun drive... and they ended up doing nothing. 3 weeks later my daughter had to go to Nemours who ended up having to set her arm and put it in a cast. Baptist Clay Medicals ER and hospital in downtown Jacksonville could have lead my daughter to having a permanent disability in her left arm. Again if you are in the Fleming Island Orange Park area and have a medical emergency I recommend going to Orange Park Medical. Believe me the nurses at Baptist Clay wont care as they spend their time joking with one another and being rude to patients. Actually Im pretty sure the nurses at Baptist Clay would recommend you go to OP Medical as well so they dont have to be bothered by patients.

Dr Acevedo orders blood test that are medically unnecessary and never said to me that I was going to get stuck with a bill for $148.00. Several mistakes on my insurance where I am on the phone trying to straighten things out and fix mistakes. Be warned dont go I just fired them.

I live here in Fleming Island I know it is a community that is known for being a bit expensive where white people abound and predominate. I had an emergency today Saturday March 6 2021 I went to the center at 545 in the afternoon I am pregnant I felt very bad I had not admitted food or pills for 2 days because I was vomiting everything and I was brutally discriminated against for being black and Hispanic from 545 in the afternoon until 830 they had me on a stretcher with The vein channeled supposedly to put me on a serum that the very despotic nurses never did nor did they ask me how I felt I asked them for a blanket and they didnt take it I had to stand at the door because they sat talking about everyday things As if nothing in short I left feeling bad and without attention because the only attention I had was to ask me for my social security number and if I had insurance to collect that is the only thing that matters to him without attending you he is not interested in what you do you are wrong money is your priority

Well I learned today that these reviews are accurate and I should of paid attention to them. There are certain professions where good customer service is part of your job. People go to hospitals and see doctors because they are hurting and not doing the best. The last thing these people need is a physician or physicians assistant being rude and talking to people like they are worthless. That is exactly what was experienced today. We wont be back and if anyone is reading this to get an idea what this place is like I would go elsewhere.

The staff is horrible. They treat everyone like they have Covid. Front desk is rude as can be.
