John Gelin's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Gelin is a no nonsense, down to earth kind of person who will tell you like it is. He personally will take your call and go over test results with you. My experience with the office staff leaves a lot to be desired. The person that answers the phone is short and rude. I asked for a script that any office would take care of over the phone. This office wants you to come in for an appointment, so they can charge you and the insurance for an office visit that no physician needs to be involved in. It’s just paperwork!!! I moved here from south Florida and never needed to make an appointment for a script, it was taken care of with just a phone call. I was told that the office manager would contact me, and whomever never did! For that reason alone I would switch doctors but I have no alternative with my insurance in this area.

I don’t know as Dr. Gelin’s receptionist informed me that all “ new patient appointments in January had been canceled due to Dr. Gelin had taken another doctors patients and couldn’t take any new patients, so, I needing a PCP found a new one who is taking new patients. It wouldn’t be fair to give a rating or recommendation.

Given we are in a pandemic Dr Gelin has accommodated me by tele-med. Staff is so kind and helpful. They get you in for appointments quickly. Just have patience with all that is going on and your experience will be great!

Suffering from covid 19 infection, had been to walk in clinic where I received an initial round of medication. Had been tested twice for covid but results had not been received. Dr. Gelin saw me, ordered a check X-Ray, prescribed additional medication and took blood for an anti body test. Anti body test was positive. Dr Gelin had me call daily to report how I was doing. As positive results came in from the covid testing, Dr. Gelin ordered a second X-Ray and continued treatment. My experience was positive from the start.

I booked a appointment to see the doctor online on Saturday the 11th. I got an email confirming my appointment and a second email reminding me of my appointment About 2 hours before the appointment I received a call saying they needed some questions answered to determine whether Dr Gelin would be taking me on as a patient. I said i wished I would have been told online that I would be contacted by the Doctor's office. The person interrupted me while I was still speaking and said when she left on Friday there was no appointment scheduled. I did not dispute this and attempted to respond that reminders for appointments that had not been scheduled should not be sent. Before I was finished speaking I was again cut off and told the office was part of a big corporation and they had no control of the website. This was a technical snafu that could have been easily resolved with some basic courtesy. I did not appreciate the staff treating me so rudely and will not be seeing Dr Gelin

I have been with this office for many years and have found it to be the best by far. The nurses and staff are friendly and professional. They are also personable. It feels like they are family. Dr. Gelin is a caring doctor who is serious about his patient's good health. He is also very humorous. I love this office and you will too.

Terrific doctor and office runs very efficiently. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

I have been very sick and in a lot of pain for along time. I am very grateful to Dr. Gelin for excepting me as one of his patients. He has listened and helped me with so much with my health. Dr. Gelin and his whole staff are so considerate and as a Dr, he listens to what I have to say instead of treating me like just another number. I am so glad I found them!!!!
