Dr. Nelson Charlie's Online Review Report Card

It's crazy to me to see these reviews. In all my life ive never met a more compassionate Dr than Dr Charlie. When I had no insurance he saw me and barely charged anything. My parents saw him and he would bill things as almost nothing. I referred my boss and she said he took care of stuff that any other doctor would have charged thousands for. And he helped her husband. Im just in shock he would have any bad reviews. He is very medical focused, not cosmetic. But I truly believe he practices for a passion to help people. I will say I haven't seen him in a long time and have had issues trying to schedule the past year and living in Miami I give up. So maybe it's his office staff. But Dr. Charlie is a wonderful and caring physician.

I visited Dr. Charlie based upon a long time friend's recommendation who spoke him very highly. From start to finish my experience with Dr. Charlie and his office staff was excellent. The lady who took the call and my inquiry was professional, pleasant, and made sure that I knew how find the office building. As a non-urgent, new patient, I was able to secure an appointment within a reasonable time, two weeks. Upon my arrival, the check in process, paperwork, and the wait time that it took to see Dr. Charlie was quick and easy. The office suite, and the exam and treatment I waited for him in, were clean as a brand new whistle and sharp looking. Dr. Charlie was quite thorough (as I would expect given all else I had seen) and he did something I had never seen any physician do before. As he was providing me with explanations and instructions on the various matters I saw him about, he would then type corresponding instructions on his desktop so that at the end of my visit he printed the document and handed it to me which turned out to be quite useful. All of the matters that I went to see him about have ended up just as he forecasted. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Been going to Dr. Charlie for years. He explains everything, never feel rushed. Extremely knowledgeable in all areas of dermatology. Very nice team. Plenty of parking, great location.

Dr. Charlie spends time with his patients and thoroughly explains everything. He even gives you a print out of what you you have. It's easy to get an appt. Great location with plenty of parking. We've been to a few dermatologists in the Ft. Lauderdale area over the years, he and his team by far are the best.

I highly recommend Dr. Charlie. I appreciate his focus on research-based treatment and diagnostic process. He helped me a great deal; I have every confidence in him.

I highly recommend this medical group. I have been going for 4 years now and only had positive professional medical care from all the staff and especially Dr. Charlie.

!!! CAUTION!!! !!! NEW PATIENTS BEWARE!!! Are physician offices no longer responsible for verifying a new patients insurance?! This passed January as soon as i received my medical insurance cards from Cigna I called the office of Dr. Nelson Charlie and Dr. Lattouf. The receptionist confirmed that they (The Doctors) were in network and that they accepted my insurance and booked an appointment with Carol Lattouf. I had several visits with Carol Lattouf including a surgery. A few weeks after surgery I received notice that the office of Dr. Nelson Charlie and Carol Lattouf did not accept my insurance even though the office verified my insurance after taking photo copies of insurance card, ID, and taking co payment before multiple visits. I’m currently being charged for the entire bill minus a small “discount” that Dr. Nelson Charlie feels is acceptable due to his office’s negligence. The discount isn’t comparable to what I would pay with insurance. I would have never chosen this provider if they had said they were out of network. Seems a little shady especially since one of the girls from their office said this has happened to many of patients...

Best dermatologist I've been to in my life. So much so that I went there recently and cash paid as he is out of network on my new insurance. He's always correctly diagnosed me, and correctly treated me time and time again.

Went to Dr Charlie about a red spot on my back, then a $6,000 lab test for an inconclusive issue. I am now making monthly payments a very expensive lab test for the next 12 months, unbelievable.....
