List of James Cimera Md's Reviews
My first experience with Dr. Cimera at his office was so horrible that I made sure to put on my phone NEVER to see him again. I had to return a second time and they refused to answer the questions I had. A year later I ended up in the hospital with blood clots. This was completely unrelated to the first issue. I was very very drugged up on pills for the pain and what they had to do to illuminate the liquid from my lungs. I heard the nurses say that they need to order a neurologist to come in for one of my symptoms. When he walked in and they said his name , it was like me immediately coming out of a coma. I wanted to scream to get him out of my room that I refused to see him. However I did not have the strength, so he asked two or three questions. He looked at the nurse and he said” I don’t know why you even called me, this was not even worth my time. “ Seven months later after his condescending behavior in actually three occasions, they have the audacity to send me a bill for almost $600 for the less than five minute of condescending, Conversation that did not help any of my symptoms. Think twice and then think twice again before ever seen this man!
He have more than one office, he’s the worse doctor ever, how do you know what is going on with my brain by just staring at me, he didn’t do no MRI nothing like that, and just send me home
First time patient and never a again coming back. The whole staffs are rude incompetent! From receptionist to nurses! I was referred by Dr. Berne from Broward health as a trauma patient he wanted me to follow-up with Dr cimera for neurologist reason due to my head injuries. From my experience Dr. cimera did not go well cause i was kinda confused he didn't or any Ct scan on my head since I'm here to see you regards on my Head injuries and I'm a new pt you don't know anything about me. Even Dr. Berne mentioned that the neuro Dr. Would have repeat the CT scan.
Dr. Cimera has an amazing bed side manner. He is caring and authentic. It is easy to have a conversation with him.GGreat
ocogreat staff excellent doc
My primary referred me to him and I had an MRA done. No follow up on my results. Doctor could not be reached.
I called the office and was able to get a same day appointment. The office staff was expedient and friendly. I found Dr. Cimera to be knowledgeable, and conversational. He did not rush me and truly expressed a desire to try to help me. I had a very favorable experience, trusted his conclusions and felt I was heard. Highly recommend.
I wish I could give zero stars. I have been a patient of Dr. Cimera for over a decade. He is very knowledgeable with my condition, cluster headaches. Unfortunately the staff at his office is completely incompetent and I've found another doctor for this reason. I have called three times over the past two weeks for a refill, and had my pharmacy fax them three times with no response and no refill. The new location is also horrible as you have to walk about a half mile from the parking lot to his office inside the hospital, stopping to check in at the front desk, showing an ID first.
Dr Cimera prescribed 4 different medications for me to try for migraines. I found out in my own research and diligence one of them cancels out birth control. 2 others were a Triptan and an anti-nausea. I took the 10 mg triptan and the anti nausea and had a severe and dangerous reaction. A doctor told me the 10 mg dosage is too much for my weight and the two medications are not safe to take together. I was too scared to try the 4th prescribed. When I explained this to Cimera’s staff, they refused to let me speak to the doctor, they didn’t return any of my calls, and of course wouldn’t let me book an appointment. My pharmacy tried to get permission to give me a lower dosage but Cimera staff denied it. They are lucky they are getting 1 star and not a lawsuit. Eventually though, they will. This is in addition to initially lying about accepting my insurance, then surprising me with a huge bill at my appointment. Seeing that this happens to other people, I’m guessing that’s an operation they run. Stay far away.
I was hesitant on making an appointment with this office, based on several negative reviews. But I called anyway and asked if they accepted my insurance. I was assured they did and had to wait a few weeks for my appointment. I travel back and forth between Michigan and the day before my flight back to Florida for this appointment, the office calls to inform me that they don't accept my insurance. I should have listened to the other reviews.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
