List of Sage Dental Of East Fort Lauderdale's Reviews
Alba Zuniga is by far the best Hygienist I have ever encountered. Her love for the job and care for the patient made me feel like I've known her for years. She is very knowledgeable, polite and efficient in her duties. I highly recommend her to anyone.
I have been a patient at Sage Dental Fort Lauderdale location for quite some years now. I have never really had an issue up until my visit today. Not sure what happened with the customer service in this place but I've never experienced such lousy and unprofessional people within the facility ever. I had a minor issue with my insurance that I tried settling days before my visit but was unable to. Called the office prior to the appointment to notify them my insurance was active and was told it wasn't. Tried explaining the issue with Kalyn (lady with NY accent) and she has such a condescending and annoyed tone to her voice and couldn't be anymore bothered with helping me. She basically tried to make me reschedule. So instead of offering to call insurance and assist me with this matter she had me call myself to verify. Had my insurance company called the dental office with me on the line all for the dental office to say they just now received the verification and I can indeed come in. Nobody bothered to call me back from the office and let me know everything was all good but I continued to the appointment anyway. I get to the appointment about 4 minutes late.. (10:34am) didn't get called back until after 10:55am. Receptionist took me to one room. People walked in and out of the room asking who I was and how I got back there. Nobody introduced themselves. One of the X-ray techs started doing something on the computer behind me and another assistant walked in and told her she was on the wrong persons account. Waited another 5 mins all for someone else to come and move me To another room. At this point it's passed 11:00am. The tech finally comes back to start my X-rays and 10 mins in another random woman comes in to tell her to stop doing the X-ray and continue it later so that my cleaning will be done. At that point I was fed up and demanded to be told what was going on and who these people were because it was so much back and forth and confusion going on that I was contemplating just getting up and leaving. All in all the service from the hygienist was fine.. just seemed a bit rushed. They ended up finishing my X-rays at the end. If it weren't for the huge mix up and the condescending attitude from the woman I spoke to at the front desk I'd return (which I think this was the office manager) however I'd rather go elsewhere to a nicer, cleaner facility, with professional office personnel and people who know wtf they're doing.
Best dentist office I've ever been to... and the staff is absolutely amazing...
They’ve been awful this past year with the new doctors and new ladies working there! If you can go anywhere else please do. I highly recommend going to a cosmetic dentist who cares about your teeth
I went to Sage Dental for the first time a few weeks ago. X-rays were done and the dentist initially said something like, "beautiful teeth", but then when he looked in my mouth, he insisted I had 4 cavities for which I needed to come back to have filled. I also couldn't get my cleaning that day because the dentist preferred to have cleanings done on filling day. So I made another appointment, for which I needed to leave work early again. I made the appointment for 3:30pm, and was told I NEEDED to be on time so I could get the cleaning and fillings. On appointment day, I arrived at 3:23 and notified the lady at the front desk. I just knew there was going to be an issue though when they didn't take me back until 3:50. When I got back to the dentist chair, one employee asked me, "so since you're late, when do you want to come back for your fillings?" I informed her I was not late and had been there since 3:23. She then just said she would schedule the fillings for my next appointment in 6 months. No apology. No service recovery. Now, I kind of had a funny feeling about whether I even had cavities the whole time, but the fact that my alledged cavities could wait 6 months definitely made me more suspicious. I got my cleaning, which was ok, and got a bill for $100 in the mail the next day. Needless to say, ill be switching dentist offices.
Update: after calling my insurance for a different issue, I asked the claim adjuster about this claim and she said that they requested additional information for this claim but never received it. She went through all the documents and found some helpful information that was resent to another adjuster for review and they paid the dentist additional funds. Why didn’t Sage do that??? Now I call my insurance for every bill I get from Sage. They don’t bother to follow up with the insurance they just bill you instead. And from what I saw on the claims, they over bill the insurance and you. I was given a price to pay out of pocket for a pulled tooth and was told the insurance was to pay the rest. Well that never happened. I got a bill for the balance months after. I called my insurance company and they said the codes the dentist office billed was not covered. The front desk employee who handles the billing was rude and condescending. And after calling several times and going to the office for help, I was told they would speak with the doctor and get back to me but that never happened. Now I’m stuck paying this bill. Definitely never going back to this dentist office.
This place is a joke. I made an appointment for my son. They called me, gathered information, date of birth, insurance and the whole 9. Mind you, I am a nurse who works in a busy office. They harassed me with confirmations of my appointment (3 texts, 3 emails). We show up, and the dentist they booked me with “doesn’t see pediatrics”. And nothing available for pediatrics until November. I’m sorry, what?! Concessions should have been made. I left work early, pulled my kid from school early and for what? If you can’t get an appointment right or review charts ahead of time.. I certainly don’t want you touching my kid! Good luck to anyone going here!
I’ve experienced nothing but great service here. Elyse, Jennifer and Alexis are only a few of their awesome employees who go out of their way to brighten your smile 😁
Dr. Howard is Fantastic. The office staff is exceptional. Always willing to help.
DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!! I went and the dentsit said I had 5 cavities even though you couldn't see them on the X-rays (mind you I have never had a cavity) and said it was 800 bucks and that the cavity filings they use aren't covered under my insurance...... I went to another dentist for a second opinion, and the dentist said I have NO CAVITIES. They are out here trying to take your money for treatment that is NOT necessary. That should honestly be illegal and I am totally disgusted. If I could give them 0 stars I would.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
