Today was my first visit to Retina Health Center in Fort Myers. Upon entering the office, I was greeted with a friendly smile, and treated most professionally. The check in was quick and easy, and I was seen by a medical technician within 10 minutes. He was extremely professional, and spent significant time entering detailed information on my current medical history and eye problems. He then proceeded to give me a vision test, glaucoma check,and checked the reaction of my pupils to light. He answered all my questions, and I was impressed with his knowledge. He is a valuable asset to any medical facility. I was then placed in a waiting room waiting to see Dr.Eaton. After a few minutes, , I was greeted by a medical assistant and taken into one of Dr. Eaton's examining room. About 10 minutes later, I was greeted by Dr. Eaton. He was very cordial and gave me an extremely thorough eye exam. He requested that I have 3 more eye tests done in his office, and he would discuss the results while I was at his office. The technicians that performed these eye tests were very personable, and the tests went quickly. I met with Dr. Eaton again and he reassured me that my current eye health was satisfactory. I felt very confident with Dr. Eatons expertise, and I highly recommend that anyone that has retina problems schedule an appointment with Dr. Eaton. Our community is extremely fortunate to have Dr. Eaton in Fort Myers.I am definitely glad that I chose his office for my retinal care.The office was clean, and they adhere to all Covid guidelines. I have been treated by numerous macular specialists in Michigan and Florida over the years. I have found Dr Eaton and his associates to be the top of this group. He is smart, courteous, and carrying. His staff are polite and competent. With a recent severe medical eye emergency he stayed late, and followed up to assure my eye was successfully treated.

Dr.Eaton was precise. on schedule and completed the surgery quickly.

I know he isa great doctor but his bedside manners are not great.

Dr. Eaton is an excellent physician who who helped to save my vision after a retinal detachment. I am very grateful for his part in my care at the Retina Health Center.

Dr. Eaton is the one that informed me I had macular degeneration over 24 years ago, when I simply went for an eye exam at a location where he happen to be working. I was not in the age group to be diagnosed with age related macular degeneration. In fact this was a year after I had my youngest daughter. I have followed him from location to location to ensure I receive the very best care. My disease progressed from dry macular degeneration to wet MD 10 years later. I did a year of shots each month in my eye, at which point the wet reverted back to dry MD. Fast forward 14 years; I still have dry macular degeneration, along with cataracts, but I have no doubt Dr. Eaton, along with the grace of God, has saved my vision. Mind you, today I am not even at the stage in life where age-related macular degeneration is usually diagnosed. Two years ago I sold my home and moved from Fort Myers. However, I gladly make the hour and a half trip for my visits with Dr. Eaton. I have no desire to put my eye care and vision in the hands of any other doctor.

I took my 97 year old mother to Dr. Eaton for an injection. After waiting over two hours in the waiting room, he enters and does not say a word to acknowledge either myself or my mother. He starts barking orders to her and I tell him she is hard of hearing. He then screams at her to turn left. Very loud and very angry tone He does the injection and slams the door on the way out without saying a thing. Will not be coming back to Dr Eaton My mother said she has never been treated like that before by a health care "professional".

During the examination I experienced a full blown anxiety attack caused by claustrophobia brought on by office procedure requiring a mask be worn for 2-3 consecutive hours. I asked the nurse if I could take a small break from wearing the mask, and was told no. I experienced the worst anxiety attack. Dr Eaton came into the room and told me I could remove the mask. He told me during the visit he had documented my file so going forward, I would not encounter this problem. Ever since then I am extremely fearful of wearing the face mask. I contacted the office and simply requested a note from Dr. Eaton to present to the clubhouse manager where I live, to allow me a medical exemption. Dr. Eaton was informed what the circumstances were and refused to provide me with a note. I am furious! He was actually right next to me when I had this full blown attack! What kind of human being is this! I asked for a full copy of my records, including the notes, and was denied.

Highly recommend Dr. Eaton. He is very knowledgeable, professional, and thorough. I am seasonal. I have two doctors, one in NC and Dr. Eaton in FL. Dr. Eaton is by far my preferred doctor. With injections by the NC doctor I always have pain & discomfort. Not with Dr. Eaton. He rates 7 stars!!

Dr. Eaton is an expert who provides amazing, considerate care. I cannot say how grateful I am to the doctor and his staff for their quality of care and very thorough follow up. I happened up Dr. Eaton when I thought I had a detached retina -- found him via Google, as I was in Florida from out of town. I got an appointment in hours and he quickly worked out that the issue was far more serious. He sprang into action to get me the care that I needed. Dr. Eaton may have a brusque bedside manner, but he has a heart of gold. Thank you for your everything you have done for me -- I cannot say enough good things. Too many times, patients feel lost among doctors -- Dr. Eaton is capable, collaborative, and caring. He focuses on the patient first.
