My loved one was brought here by mistake and end up being the best thing it could happened. The hospital is amazing, clean, nice people and efficient staff. The nurses, doctors, caretakers, volunteers made my husband feel safe, cared and welcomed all my questions. I personally thank Megan, the case manager and social worker that guided me with kindness and professionalism. Donna ( nurse) Cris ( caretaker) and so many more I cannot thank enough. If I end up needing a hospital, hope it will be here

they treat their workers like crap. very disrespectful, especially nelvin gonzalez a supervisor. never have i seen such disgusting people. to shame with them. they take advantage of their hard working employees and are fake. please do something about this!

I came by ambulance early in the morning to the emergency room with a fractured hip. I had immediate attention from the first of many professional and caring staff, ending with a hip replacement that evening. After surgery, because of blood pressure and sodium level concerns, I spent 5 nights on the step-up floor. Here the entire staff, well-trained, professional, and compassionate, were exceptional. One, Karen, even did an aromatherapy treatment with me and gave me a bottle of lotion with lavender added.I highly recommend the staff on this floor and the hospital in general.Nancy Letts

I went in for a head wound, head laceration(s) to the back of my head after a bad fall. I was fast tracked and in/out in a decent period of time. Everyone was very nice (especially the CAT Scan Tech). The only reason I went in was to make sure I didn’t have any small broken vessels that were bleeding internally (which is what both my son & best friend (ER NURSES) told me to go get a CAT Scan). I’m 3 days out and no results but the headaches and dizziness are out of control otherwise I’d have given 5 stars. I also felt very protected from COVID.

I 9am took my wife to the ER, had some prior problems COPD, single & double pneumonia, a massive stroke 3-1/2yrs ago. She was having difficult in breathing, perhaps pneumonia. Within an hour they had xrays, cat scan, and 30 min. later swab the nose, +covid-19? Ventilator entered ER Room 24 and I was asked if we had a DNR? Yes, she does, well we will just put this mask on to help her breathe and we will have a room ready for her in a couple of hours. ER24 was a 10x10 room soundproof, no windows, 70 degrees, one table in middle (like a morgue). At 1:30pm, told me I should go home, she would be in a room in a couple of hours, and I cannot go there (isolation). I call at 4pm to see what room she is in, has not moved, at 9:30pm they put her in a room #3107 (no food all day) After that, the next 10days were all downhill they let her sit in Diarrhea, Mon & Tues, developing into UTI & yeast Infection, which eventually led to kidneys not working, sodium low/potassium high. Hospice brought my bride of 61 yrs home, they brought 80# of flesh trying to breathe, a tube up her rectum, all 4 limbs completely black & blue bruising, she survived 4 days, before God had another angel. There is no one outside the hospitals monitoring how they are treating the covid-19 patients. Bottom-line I do NOT believe she had Covid-19, as she had been inside our home for the last 4 months?

I'm a 79 year old CAD elder patient with many fine experiences with staff at Gulf Coast and Health Park over the years. Last October I missed my veteran nurses. They were  replaced by much younger staff. In ER, they were training youngsters like mad. Some knew their stuff. Many did not. Sad so many veterans have left or retired. Please explain why this has happened? . Two weeks ago had worst ER experience ever. it was at Gulf Coast. Arrived 9 pm with painful urination. They scoped my bladder and took blood twice in three tries. I still have the bruise from one failure. Surprised they took no urine samples.  My wife and i were also shocked at sad conditions of rest rooms. At 3 am, a very young doctor finally showed. I asked her to look at my urine, PLEASE. She did and came back at 3:45 am with a UTI diagnosis from urine sample. Blood told them nothing.  I arrived home exhausted and disoriented. Fell asleep in my bathtub. When I woke up, one hearing aid was missing. My wife found my wet, ruined cell phone in the kitchen.  I must have knocked it in the tub while asleep.Wade M. Nye

The staff worked well under crazy/busy conditions.

I went in because I thought I was having a stroke. After three minutes of looking at me, I was fast tracked (aka "not at risk"), forgotten about for three hours, and discharged by a nurse who couldn't even explain why I was told to take aspirin.After people ON FACEBOOK saw my picture, they suggested Bell's Palsy. I went back in and was met with for another few minutes before the doctor agreed and prescribed seven days of prednisone (recommended treatment is ten days).I wasn't planning on leaving a review because I know people have tough days. But today is my worst day, and I wonder if it has to do with ending the prednisone too early. I'm going to be stuck with a massive bill, and I wasn't given proper treatment. I'm appalled.I will say, the nurse up front, finance girl up front and the woman helping with registration were all tremendous. They're the only reason I'm giving two starts instead of one. I'd take that nurse on for my doctor if I could.

I went in for what I felt was an emergency! I’ve had a history of pancreatitis and it feels exactly the same and they treated me like I was just looking for pills or something and this girl don’t drink or do drugs at all! My body can’t breakdown a sip of alcohol. They had me pee in a cup and asked me if I was had drugs in my system! So they hand out drug test before anything else? It took everything for me to go to the ER and now I feel completely helpless! The doctor wasn’t listening to me rather talked over me as if I was going through a hormonal change and dismissed all my symptoms! Serious symptoms! I had to ask him to run a blood test to make sure I have no infections because I don’t have a spleen anymore! Just moved down and if this is how the medical field acts here I’m leaving! Cleveland clinic saved my life and also changed my standards on how a health provider should treat a patient! I was stereotyped, ignored, and dismissed!
