List of Emergency Care - Healthpark Medical Center's Reviews
I had a great experience there. They were very compassionate and attentive. My room was clean the nurses and doctors we very nice. The only ER I will go to
By far one of the most unprofessional ERs I’ve ever seen. Zero genuine care for their patients and absolutely no sense of urgency. The staff is rude and undermines any concerns that are not there own. I didn’t think it was possible but this hospital makes the VA look like a 5 star resort.
I was there from 10pm to 6am in the waiting room. Others were there for over 12 hour with no movement. (NEVER GOT SEEN I HAD TO LEAVE) Iv never seen it like that and there was not 1 time did anyone come out there to wipe stuff down or clean anything. Very sad...IV been going there my whole life and now I have to speak out on them I hope they can get it together.
This emergency room is a joke. Took my daughter there after she was hit by a truck. Two days later she showed signs of internal bleeding which prompted her to return to the hospital. They seriously expected her to wait in the waiting room, which she did for3 hours. I had to call and blast them out for them to care for her. If they can't deal with the amount of patients they have then they need to expand the emergency room and hire more people.
Hospital was extremely busy, but the staff were very quick, and professional given that. Got in and out of the ER in 2 hours on a holiday weekend which isn’t bad at all.
Great doctors, great care.
I had surgery for breast cancer at Health Park Medical Center on June 14, 2021, and I cannot say enough good things about how I was treated by the staff. The pre-op nurses were outstanding. Many thanks to Maureen, star of the show. Your competence, sense of humor, and efficiency made me more comfortable than I can say. I was really scared, but you put me at ease.Hats off to the rest of the crew for unparalleled treatment: Samantha, who helped me after the surgery; Fanopias, who was there for the anesthesia countdown (sp.? sorry for mispelling your name); Brian, the guy with the 'guns'; McKenzie, recent nursing school grad; my anesthesiologist, whose name I cannot recall. Apologies for that, but you obviously did a great job because I recall nothing after reaching 96 on the countdown. Thanks most of all to the one who did the heavy lifting: the peerless Dr. Lea Blackwell. She is a brilliant surgeon, one who has earned my utmost respect and gratitude. The nurses and doctors at Health Park are amazing because they combine professional expertise with compassion, empathy, and humor.Well done, Health Park!Naomi K.
If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I came in an ambulance after an episode of syncope at 3pm. They drew my labs and sent me outside with a bag of fluids. I sat out there until 1 am. I had to disconnect my own fluids hours earlier because it had emptied and my blood was back flowing into the IV. DR replaced my potassium and sent me on my way. However when I got my paperwork for discharge, my blood sugar was 60 when they drew it at 3. No one came out to fix that so I'm thankful I had gotten some snacks in me during that time. The nurses were kind, but the wait time was insane. Drawing blood 10 hours before seeing patients is an awful practice without checking on them or starting to replace what the labs say are off.
I took my husband to the ER at Healthpark last night. He has heart disease and has a defibrillator implant and it had gone off 2 times in a half an hour. I parked and went inside to tell them I had a heart patient that needed some assistance. They told me to get a wheelchair and bring him in. While checking him in, we actually had to talk to three different people, which was totally ridiculous. After checking in they told us that we would need to sit outside because the ER waiting room was full so we had to sit outside. There are several other patients sitting outside too. After some time they came to get him for an EKG. When that was complete they brought him back outside. Waited for another period of time they came to get him for blood samples. They seemed to be in no hurry for anything. Outside the ER where we were sitting, it was filthy. Stains on the pavement, leaves all over, just not what you would expect the hospital grounds to look like. Now this is a heart patient folks. It is not a broken leg or something that can wait. After three hours, I went to the desk and said how much longer will it be before my husband could be seen. They said they did not know that there have been patients waiting for seven hours. This is unacceptable. I know this is spring break season here in Florida, I'm sure it is busier than normal, but wouldn't you think that they would know and and have the staff that they would need to take care of emergency situations like this.
I came around 9pm and the employees were all very nice. I appreciated them taking care of me so well. They were absolutely great!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
