7 months after my total knee replacement and I am in constant pain and walk with a limp. I did all the prescribed PT and exercises and my therapist said that with as hard as I worked I should have had full range of motion within 6 weeks if the surgery had been done correctly. Now I am lucky if I can bend my knee to 70 degrees and the tibial component is separating from the bone. I used to play tennis 3 times/week and now I can't play at all. It is difficult and painful to get in and out of a car. I have difficulty sleeping because certain movements cause excruciating pain and wake me up even when taking sleeping pills. No matter what I do, the knee only gets worse. Two other orthopedic surgeons have told me the surgery was not done properly and needs to be redone. Markovich must have known he screwed up because for several months after the surgery he just blew me off and pawned me off on the PA when I made appointments specifically to see him. If you value your life, don't let this butcher anywhere near you!

Dr. Markovich turned out to be a godsend. I waited about 20 minutes to see him, the staff was pleasant, and he was professional and informative, and took his time with me. I felt like I was in good hands and I now have great range of motion and I'm back to golf and tennis. Best and easiest decision I've ever made. Highly recommend him. His PA Pat is a sweetheart.

Thank you Dr Markovich, Dr DeFlore and team for a very successful total right side hip replacement! The procedure was on August 19, 2021 (12 weeks ago). I am totally pleased with the results! I enjoy a full range of motion, feels just as natural as my good left hip, and now back on the tennis court preparing for competitive league play. In addition to the excellent surgical work, I used the recovery time to improve my physical fitness losing 10 lbs, went to all the rehab sessions, continued those rehab exercises at home every day since, frequent workouts at the gym, and regular daily walking. It's a new begining! Thank you!!!

Dr Markovich did my total right side hip replacement and after 12 weeks it is a complete success!

Did my knee replacement. So thankful I selected him based on several recommendations. Been three years and unlike several neighbors that had similar replacements by other physicians, no issues in 3 plus years. Next, I will return to him for my shoulder surgery. Super skilled.

People if you are looking for a knee replacement, let me tell you this is NOT the doctor to go to.. He did not even explain that he was doing a partial knee which is never a good outcome as I understand from doctors I’ve seen since then. I am age 59 yes old and not overweight, But knees are very bad with arthritis, Because of heredity. I was tired of shots that lasted no more than a few days or a month, so I opted for knee replacement. After the surgery, the pain just got worse and worse. A year and a half later, my husband and I are contemplating getting a different home because of the steps in our home. With the bedroom upstairs, I make several trips up and down slowly and painfully. I have been back to them a few times asking about the continued terrible pain and Dr. Markovich Himself said “sometimes looks good -feels bad” so another six months go by and the pain is just as bad or worse. I am looking for another knee replacement and this time I total knee. Don’t go for partial and don’t go to this doctor. Terrible results, still constant swelling and terrible pain.

This doctor was unprofessional rushing me out of there some try to explain my symptoms shut me up might as well say And also he wanted to see me and saying oh ain't nothing I could do but you want me to come back

My wife, Emilia Andrews, visited Doctor Markovich of the Institute for Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine in Ft Myers Florida on November11, 2020. . The purpose of the visit was a follow up to determine a course of action for recovery from an accident she sustained a few weeks earlier where she had fractured her tailbone, her pelvis, and her wrist. The accident occurred in Myrtle Beach SC where she spent almost 2 weeks in a hospital. After waiting over 2 hours to see this Doctor, he came in and spent no longer than 2-3 minutes with her. His comment to her was ' you have 4-6 months to recover and need a script for physical therapy'. My wife did have questions to ask him and he he never asked her if she had any. He just walked out. To say this visit was worthwhile is an understatement. My son is an extremely qualified, accomplished, and specialized physician who I am very proud of. If he treated a patient the way this man did to my wife, I'd be ashamed of him.
