List of Lee Memorial Hospital's Reviews
Our local healthcare is taking a tyrannical stance with forcing it's Patients' to wear masks even though the science has proven masks are "Not" effective. I for one will not submit to this evil conditioning. Even if it causes me my life.
I can not express enough how absolutely terrible the care is at this hospital. 3 hospitalizations now and my son is worse than when he goes in each time. each time don't give him his medications correct and on time causing him to not have a bowel movement for over 10 days. Causing uncontrollable seizures for days. I mean what in gods name is going on here. He is nonverbal and I can't get a doctor to call me in over a weekthis is some of the worst care I have Ever seen.
This is the absolute WORST hospital I have ever been to. I wouldn't have even given it 1 star but did so I could write this review. I have been there 3 times and 3 strikes your out! The nurses act like they're at a social event more worried about conversating been helping patients with the exception of a few and I mean very few. There rude and unpleasant. I had a nurse in the emergency room scar my arm really bad because she didn't know how to do a procedure that I have Googled and watch three different videos of the same procedure and the way she did it I didn't see one video that way so I have a huge scar on my arm. Also if you are in pain forget about getting anything to help you. The CNAs do way more than the RNs. And the poor things I'm sure don't make a percentage of money compared to what the registered nurses make. If you need to go to a good Hospital check out health park on Summerlin that place is amazing I won't be stepping one foot inside Lee Memorial ever again. I would just assume die then going back there again!!
I recently spent weeks at Lee Memorial, from ER,ICU,to recovery, with major infections in vitals, heart problems, and pneumonia. They said I was in bad shape. But with a little glue and a lot of TLC from all the staff,I was feeling good. Then came PT.They sai I needed long term care before rehab, but a PTnamed Judy took me on.After weeks in bed, she and staff had me up in awlker. On the 4th session she moved all the chair s,etc from this small room to give me more room. I walked 35' that day and now am in Short term intense pt.On day of discharge, my ER doc showed up to wish me the best telling me he was glad to be a part of my recovery!I will forever be thankful to Lee Health and all their staff.
I have been going to complex care for almost 2 years every Tuesday. I have watched the care decline and the personal at the desk become very unfriendlyand
If I could give zero stars I would. My 90 year old Mom spent time in the ER after falling in her assisted living facility and sustained a traumatic brain injury. The injury was severe and nothing could be done except keep her comfortable until she passed. The plan was to transfer her to Hope Hospice later that evening. When I arrived at the hospice facility I found out that she had passed away at Lee Memorial an hour ago. NO ONE at the hospital ever called to tell me she had passed away. Unreal!!! When I called the hospital next day to find out why I was never notified, the ER nurse manager basically said it was a change of shift miscommunication. Seriously??? Totally unacceptable. DO NOT GO TO LEE MEMORIAL.
My father was admitted for bleeding in the intestine at the Fort Myers Lee Memorial and when treating him they perforated his colon, the doctor who attended him was never to see my father, and then they sedated him to do an MRI and caused him an arrest cardiac for 14 minutes where they caused severe brain damage and after a few days his death, several of the staff are not prepared and especially jennifer one of the nurses very rude and insurmountable, I just thank Hanna and Andres from Intensive Therapy, I could put much more but It is not worth it, for me my father was very poorly attended and countless mistakes were made and in the end he is no longer with me because of the incompetence of some, who never went to apologize for their mistakes.
IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD. FYI: CHECK YOUR MEDICARE/MEDICAID STATEMENT CAREFULLY. LEE HAS A LONG HISTORY ( SEARCH THEM) OF OVER BILLING, UNNECESSARY STAFF DOCTORS POPPING THEIR HEAD IN YOUR ROOM.....ALL OVERCHARGING. BEWARE
Dr. Tamir is an amazing surgeon. He did an exceptional job of operating on my grandson, Collyn's pressure ulcer. The surgery was very successful and Dr. Tamir and his associates were especially caring. Dr. Tamir answered all of our questions and concerns in a timely fashion. His surgical team was Awesome! The staff on 5 North were attentive and kind, especially the nurses Isaiah, John, Chelsea, Gabby, Candy, Mary, Jeanette, Fernando, Saddie, Camille, Robert, Bob, and Da Twan. The Cnas, Bobo, Michele, Ma, Bernie, Yari, Hortense, Bebe and Ryan were so great, helping us and getting us everything that we needed. Phaly came in to clean our room each day quick and efficiently, and , Felicia and Ashley was super nice and funny when they came in to check Collyn's picc line. Yvenson Darius, our diatary food preparer was also exceptional. He greeted us with a smile and upbeat attitude, as well as, acted genuinely concerned for Collyns well being by asking how he was each day. He also, made sure Collyn had any food changes necessaryomake his stay at the hospital the best that it could be. Thank you everyone for making our stay at Lee Memorial a pleasant experience.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
