I met Dr Phillips today for an ear infection. He took very very good care of me and was super gentle and explained what is going on and ways to prevent this from happening. He was very easy to talk to and he listened to all my concerns. I suffer from frequent ear infections so hopefully now he will help me get this under control. You will not be disappointed seeing him.

My neurologist requested I revisit Dr. Phillips for further consult. (Dr. Phillips is the one who first sent me to said neurologist.) He was running VERY late, but I waited anyway. He totally dismissed my pain and discomfort. I was so completely distraught and I could strongly sense he was “tired of being bothered by me,” so I left in tears saying “I give up.” My main complaints are: he wasted my time and that he demonstrates zero compassion.

Don’t even waste your time or money!! You’ll get care at Walmart!

Love the office location on Gatlin his staff so friendly. Dr Phillips is a great Dr with funny bedside manner. Took care of my sinus issues and he did a great job with the operation. I can breath again and no more sinus issues. Thank Dr and your wonderful staff..

The worst doctor I have ever seen wants to talk about politics (not his business) then cuts you down because of the insurance you have ( again none of his business). He can make you feel worse by the time you leave his office and that's not what you need when dealing with cancer. Never again!

I experienced a very unprofessional Md. I had a second opinion because his so diagnosis did not sound right to me. No recommendations for follow up was mentioned either. The second opinion confirmed that I was right and that Dr Phillips was misdiagnosing me in a condition that needed to be follow up. Scare that physicians like that still practicing. But that’s why be informed and if something you feel is wrong and physicians tells something else have a second opinion they can be wrong. I had a US done and he very rudely told me he doesn’t read them nor he look at the report. Well I guess I got my point across.

Best Doc EVER

I saw Dr Phillips when he was with Dr Lanza's group in PSL. He was the BEST and his knowledge and personal attention to detail literally saved my LIFE! He ended up doing surgery and finding an extremely rare tumor in my sinus which he removed AND it was attached to skull based brain tumor which he immediately referred me to Dr Komotar at University of Miami, 1 of the few neuro-oncologist worldwide who does vaccine therapy for brain tumors. I would recommend Dr Phillips to anyone.. Especially my family and loved one's!

Dr. Phillips is an amazing doctor! He did such a wonderful job with my sons tonsil and adnoid removal. He is kind and friendly and my child really digs him. Coastal ENT is a very clean office with very friendly staff! So thankful!

Dr. Phillips is so unprofessional. Do NOT bring your child to him. In January we brought our son in for a nose cauterization, the entire visit was an absolute mess. Our son was really very nervous and was not cooperating at all. Of course, that is not the doctors fault, but there wasn’t exactly a warm and fuzzy feeling either from Dr. Phillips. That is when we first noticed the hot and cold personality. My son really was persistently panicking at each tool the doctor was using. Dr. Phillips was clearly not happy and demonstrated unprofessionalism when he said to my husband, “that’s the problem with kids these days they think they are going to tell adults what to do”. We left the office with a successful procedure and an appointment to complete the other side of the nose at a later date, but not exactly the best feeling about the Doctor. Fast forward a few months to the visit on 8/11/2020. The doctor visit started out calm and collected and my son was ready for the in office procedure. However, Dr. Phillips is very hot and cold. One minute he is nice and the next he is very nasty and loses all sense of professionalism totally. The visit started out nice, but quickly took a turn when my nervous 6 year old was not cooperating Dr. Phillips lost all sense of professionalism. Prior to the cauterization beginning, my child yelled and was not being cooperative. He had already had the procedure once so fear quickly set in and he was a nervous wreck. He also got out of the chair to try and avoid the procedure. Then more than ever is when a Doctor should assure the patient they are OK and in good hands. Dr. Phillips said to my 6 year old. “That’s why I like general anesthesia so patients shut the hell up.” Dr. Phillips also said to me as I tried to calm my child down, “let him scream” and then looked at my child and said I’m going to put tape over your mouth”. During the cauterization, my 6 year old child was wiggling a lot. My son also during his panicking said several times he didn’t want to do the cauterization, but of course it was a necessary procedure for his heath, so there we were at the appointment. Instead of again helping him feel comfortable Dr. Phillips said, “You’re a child, you’re not my boss and you don’t tell me what to do.” Several times during cauterization, Dr. Phillips said to me, “I don’t have time for this”. My son was definitely being difficult, but rather than helping him feel comfortable, Dr. Phillips decided it was appropriate to try and scare him and told him, “If you don’t stop moving I am going to put a whole in your brain.” I did not engage with the Dr. or address his unprofessionalism at that time. As a mother, I was trying to keep my child calm, and trying to distract him. I did not feel that was a time or a place to address the unprofessionalism that was being displayed. I also did not feel it was appropriate to address those concerns while he had an electric probe up my child’s nose. At that point I was frustrated my child was being difficult and insanely upset and fighting back tears because of the unprofessionalism with the doctor. After the Brain comment, the Dr. ended the procedure. He packed my sons nose and then decided he was going to try to tell my son, “I am not here to hurt you I am here to help you”. That was not what was demonstrated by his hot and cold unprofessional comments. I couldn’t wait to get my son out of there. When we left I was so upset, and knew I had to report the entire situation. The whole thing feels like a nightmare. After the visit, I called and spoke with the Office Manager Michelle. I explained the entire situation and she was very apologetic. She assured me she would be letting the Senior Doctor, Dr. Slack, of the practice know and he would be calling me. Later that day we ended up having to go in to have packing checked and saw Dr. Slack. Dr. Slack was amazing and SO PROFESSIONAL!!!!
