Great Doctor tells it like it is We have been going to her for over 20 years
My brother waited 6 months to get his insurance and finally received it. Our family is very worried about his health and the day before his appointment this practitioner turns him away because he has not recieved his covid injection. He is unable to get the injections because of his health. Now he has to suffer more waiting on another appointment and find another doc. It is wrong and unethical for any doctor to turn away anybody regardless if they choose not to get the covid shot or not. What happened to the oath this doc vowed to treat and care for another human? Its a shame.
Im so happy that I found a great primary care physician.A great StaffIm very Happy.
love the entire staff ❤️😄
TRACY BRITCHER the Nurse Practicter I just saw was so thorough caring all while still getting me in and out very quickly. I hate doc offices and was so nervous and left so impressed.
I have had only bad experience with this practice since they abruptly closed the Okeechobee office. I never received a letter letting me know the office was closing. I only knew when another patient told me and by then Maddie in the Fort Pierce office was fielding calls. She was syrupy sweet saying @ I am only trying to help you@ when she was actually only giving me her preferred options. I believe that I am the customer paying for services. I called today to get help with a firm that the Okeechobee office has done for years. No big deal. Lettie, Jennifer and Amy were customer oriented. I was shoved into an office in Port St Lucie that is not even listed on the website and with a doctor who was again pleasant on the surface but condescending. He spoke with superiority as to his value versus the female nurse practitioner. Halfway through the exam questions, he was on computer and said, “oh, you have insurance!” I am an RN and I would have called anyone out on this kind of behavior as a manager but these people forget who the customer is.
Amazing staff and Dr. Zimmer is one of the best patient advocates I have ever met, she always puts the patient first!
If I could give zero stars I would. And I didn’t even make it to the exam room. I made an appointment as a new patient weeks in advance and received a call the night before that instructed me to be at the office at 1:00 for a 1:30 appointment today. I took time off work early so I could arrive at the instructed time. I arrived at 1:00 and the door was locked. Phone was unanswered multiple times and was finally answered by an answering service who said the staff does not come back until 1:30. I then sat and waited car until 1:15 and saw that they finally opened the door. I did let Madeline at the front desk know that someone left a message telling me to show up at 1:00 but no one was there at 1:00 and the doors were locked. Not a huge deal, but still I arrived early as they requested. Madeline “apologized” with a rude and dismissive tone and told me she opened the door at 1:10. So basically had the attitude and look on her face of “so what’s your problem”. I suggested that they don’t tell people to arrive at a certain time if they weren’t even open at that time since people usually have to take time off work. I was not rude in any way but I was frustrated obviously... but not being rude at all. But I was COMPLETELY taken aback by Madeline’s extremely rude nature. Madeline turned around to collect the paperwork to give to me and muttered very rudely under her breath “I am NOT going to start the afternoon like THIS.” Obviously referring to me. I then said to her “excuse me?” to which she replied the same sentence only louder and more rudely and then shoved the paperwork at me. This is who you have running your front desk and reception area and “greeting” your patients. I, of course opted to leave, without being seen due to the very rude and unprofessional behavior by this Madeline individual who has no business dealing with patients if this is the kind of care and attitude she has to offer to patients, especially when your office told a new patient to show up at a time when they weren’t even there and they were obviously in the wrong. I will also add that I work in the medical profession, in a hospital ER setting and if anyone ever spoke to a client like that they would be without a job by the end of the day. This is truly the most unprofessional person I have ever encountered in a professional setting. I did read the negative reviews but thought I would give them a try since they had some good reviews. Too bad Madeline cost you a patient today and future potential patients that I happen to share today’s experience with.
Dr Zimmer has been my primary Dr Since 2010 and would not see anyone else but her as I developed a trust and am comfortable discussing personal health and other issues with her. I have developed a personal and professional health relationship and trust with her. That is most important to me. I trust her advise and recommendations for tests, etc, and personal needs and of course being a prsry Dr. she is limited to what your insurance allows. If you need a specialist for certain issues then thosethings have to be referred to a specialist. That's normal. It is not easy in these times where a patient rarely if ever sees their own Dr. and Always their PAs . Not with her. To have a Dr that spends time with me is amf listens is all I expect. I believe Dr Zimmer truly cares and depending on your insurance is limited to what your plan allows. She's been with Lawnwood since I first became her patient and is a wonderful teaching Dr as well. I've watched those students graduate on to be Drs or PAs and complete their residencys. That's a caring Dr, very dedicated to her practice and patients.A good Dr is hard to find.Thank you Dr zimmer and your kind smiling busy staff. 😊🙏Cheryl Godin-Degootwith her staff. I am very cgortable talking about my health concerns while focusing on staying healthy

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
