Excellent doctor and staff!!!!! The surgery went well and my care was excellent. They even answered my many questions thoroughly and pleasantly.

Dr Heitman and his PAs were absolutely excellent as were the nurses in the CVICU at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center. Care was first rate from the outpatient testing through the coronary angiography and the open heart surgery to the post op care and discharge. These people are consummate professionals who really know what they are doing, are very very good at it and truly care every day to get a great result. They should be very proud of themselves. Nobody wants to have to go through this type of experience but if it is necessary there is no finer team anywhere to get you through. Highest marks to Dr Heitman and his team at Lawnwood.

Dr. Heitman and his staff have been wonderful in every way possible. When I received the news that Bypass surgery was needed, naturally I was a bit frightened, and had many concerns. While I was in the Hospital awaiting my Surgery, Dr. Heitman and his PA Eliza Gordon introduced themselves to me, and spent as much time as was necessary to explain the Surgery, as well as answer all of my questions. Both were so kind and reassuring, and this immediately put my mind at ease. I’m so happy to have had Dr. Heitman as my Surgeon, and his entire team have been wonderful in every way. Having had a triple bypass 6 weeks ago, I've had some time to reflect and evaluate how things have gone over the past weeks. I have to say, I'm feeling great and things are healing well. Dr Heitman did a great job with the procedure, as well as answering all my questions. Same goes for his staff, from PA's to NP's I got quality information and care. I highly recommend.

Dr. Heitman is a wonderful surgeon. First of all, he did a great job and explain to me that I was a new man after my surgery and then he always followed up. He seem to know me as a patient , and what I was thinking. All the information he offer up to me kept me calm while I was still in the hospital. I would recommend Dr. Heitman to anyone in fact he was. Surgeon for a friend of mine a few years back, and when I compared notes with him, Dr. Heitman treated him the same way. I was an emergency. Patient never had a major surgery before. I was very fortunate blessed to have Dr. Heitman be the one on call that night . Emergency double bi-pass very late at night & into early hours next day. He's absolutely amazing saved my life. His A team kept my family informed throughout entire process. Follow up appointments have been informative. Best heart surgeon in Florida.

The staff and Dr. William Heitman are amazing and professional ! I needed open heart surgery that would be quite difficult but Dr. Heitman did outstanding and I'm living better and healthier with a strong heart . They are a team that actually cares for their patience !
