No problems, in and out with a plan of action. I’ll update after the second visit. Second visit and surgery couldn’t have gone any better. Office staff is friendly and care. No beating around the bush with Dr. Ringel which is what I like. If you like a Doctor Who is straight and to the point, he’s your man. If you want a Doctor to baby you and spend wasteful time with you, he is not who you want to see, as you can tell from the whiner’s who felt that he didn’t give them enough face time.
I have had two Colonoscopy's with Dr. Ringel. I do understand everyone's point on his interaction but that does not make him a bad doctor. Communication works both ways and if you have a concern, it is your responsibility to speak up, sometimes you have to be assertive. I really like Dr. Ringel. He is thorough when he does his procedures and has a great team of professionals working with him. He plays great music in the procedure room. I got to experience the staff at both Fort Walton Beach and Destin. Both Awesome. Please don't discount his work. Thank you Dr. Ringel and your staff, as well as the surgery center staff who took care of me.
My initial appointment was the worst doctor interaction I have had...for the whole 30 seconds it lasted. This was my first visit to a GI doc and I had some questions and concerns. The entire visit comprised of Dr Ringel walking in, not even making eye contact, walking to my chart confirming the procedure I was to have, and walking out telling me someone would be in to get me scheduled. I was a little shocked, so I thought when the nurse/scheduler walked in I would be able to ask questions. That was not the case. Instead she told me the available dates and had me pick one. I tried to make a little conversation mentioning that at least I only have to do this once every ten years, her response was, "if you're lucky." I couldn't believe she was making light of a potential cancer diagnosis. I decided to call the office after leaving and cancel my procedure because it took a little while to process how badly I was treated. I figured if they treated me this poorly while I was awake how much less consideration they would have when I was sedated. The one positive was the person at the front desk who checked me in was very pleasant.
I trust him, that’s says a lot in my life..appointment was made quickly, I was seen quickly, helpful and caring
Ok so he does not even read the patient history sent over to him. He schedules the same tests which were already done, Ultrasound, CAT scan. If these were done already why would he schedule it again and then give you the whole 5 minutes of his time. Take a hint from the dead plants in the lobby, if you want a doctor that can only do the colonoscopy and schedule tests then he is the guy for you.
I've been to this guy a handful of times throughout the years. A thing you should know about him is he will probably spend less than 5 minutes with you. If you have a problem he goes straight to scheduling procedures whether it be a endoscopy or colonoscopy. These negative reviews are spot on. Whether he is actually a good doctor or not, I don't know. We talked briefly in his office and briefly during the procedures I've had in the past. I try real hard to stay out of his office.
Did not take the time to even try to understand my issues or ask any clarifying questions. Just went straight to lets do a colonoscopy and find out. He rushed through the visit, about two minutes with the Doctor. Could have done this appointment over the phone instead of wasting my time sitting in the waiting room. My time is just as valuable and I still have no idea what could be going on with my health. I would not recommend this Doctor.
My overall experience was great. Alicia
Everybody in everything they did was excellent.
Highly recommend

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
