List of Anthony Decotis's Reviews
Anthony was my mother's source for pills for at least two decades. During that time, my mother was consistently prescribed, on average, ten different medications. He had her on diazepam and barbiturates for at least ten, maybe 20 years, both of which are highly addictive and only to be used to treat issues in the short term. Thankfully he's retired and won't continue his malpractice. She's now down to 3 scripts after seeing a real medical physician. Feel free to contact me if you take issue the veracity of my review... Andrew
A caring, wonderful physician!
I met Dr. DeCotis for the first time today. What a wonderful doctor! He listened to my concerns and gave me excellent advice. Dr. DeCotis was very warm and compassionate. He gave me a hug at the end of our appointment and told me to call if I had any concerns. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an extremely caring and intelligent Rheumatologist.
Please don't go here. Dr. DeCotis does not care about your treatment or your symptoms. If one medicine doesn't work he will just put you on another one. He does not take the time to really listen and care about his patients. His office staff is also a complete mess. I am in my 20's and had to see him because of my Lupus and I have never been so infuriated and disappointed with a doctor. Please go see another rheumatologist, even if you have to drive an hour. Please, please, please for your own time and health do not see Dr. DeCotis.
He's a joke!!!!! Seems really nice and helpful but honestly he's in it to stack his bank account. Told me I have Lupus after bloodwork, I got a disability attorney kept going to all these Dr. appointments and when it came down to him signing the paperwork saying That I have luupus he all of a sudden said I didn't have lupus?????? Really ????? He also pissed me off when he put me on prednisone and I blew up to 198 in six weeks, then this idiot Dr tells me I need to lose weight. You gave me meds that blew me up , now I need to lose weight???!!!! What a sorry Dr!!!!!! I would not recommend anyone going to see him , he's just there to collect on sick people , not really wanting to sincerely help!!!!!!
Dr. DeCotis is a caring, compassionate and excellent physician. He has wirked diligently to find answers where other physicians have failed. I am so grateful to have him as my doctor.
The problems are few: office hours are not standard and call backs non existence. Needs answering service and post hours of operation. Elderly need consistency. Wish his practice was run more efficient and friendlier. Staff is hot and cold. Customers don't come to see the doctor because they feel good. A. Smile and friendly service goes a long way
Terrible doctor. Prescribes meds and pushes you out the door. Young rheumatology patients, see someone else. He doesn't care about quality of life or longevity. Front desk staff also very rude.
I am very pleased with the care I receive from Dr.Decotis. He is always concerned about me, and takes the time to talk to me about my lupus. And his staff is always very friendly.
Dr DeCotis was wonderful to me when I was a patient in the Northwest Florida Rehabilitation center. He always had a minute to chat. In his office the staff is very helpful and approachable. Never a long wait when I was seen at the office. Dr DeCotis even apologized for keeping me waiting when he had to take a phone call about an emergency. I highly recommend DeCotis if you have a need for a rehab or rheumatogist . I love how he and his staff always have a smile and a kind word for us.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
