He is very knowledgeable, professional and treats his patients with warmth and compassion. He is also quite modest about all his vast accomplishments, awards and research work (including a clinical trial) in the field of urology; his lack of pretentiousness and his down-to-earth demeanor only makes him more likeable as a physician & surgeon. Overall, Dr Hammond is an amazing doctor/specialist and Highly recommend!!

Dr. Gaines Hammond is not only a great Dr. But a great guy as well...and he is a man's man for sure...he came to check on me while I was at ORMC and while there, he went ahead and removed the drain line in my Kidney and took the time to explain to me to procedure I had just undergone...we then sat and spent a few moments talking guns and hunting...one of my favorite past times...this all of course helped put me at ease ...and the man was just fascinating to talk to... We even ended up exchanging numbers and hoping to do a little hunting together. Gaines, thank you for making this Kidney episode a bit easier for me and I am looking forward to taking some Quail with you buddy...you're aces in my book buddy. Respectfully, Mitch Prever
