Excellent care and compassion
Dr. Chaney cared for both my mother and my father prior to their death. One in 2009 and the other in 2018. He exemplifies the professional qualities necessary in his field. He is honest and straight forward compassionate and empathetic he is everything you would want in a doctor caring for your loved one. Im not good with names but I am quite sure I will never forget his. He has made a huge impact on my life as he did with my mother and father. The world needs more Dr. Chaneys
I will NOT EVER RECOMMEND Dr. Chaney as long as he is with White Wilson. His staff has a major failure to communicate disorder. One of his nurse practitioners left his practice without notice.. now I understand why. His staff and other NP never returned my phone messages after leaving two messages regarding my BIPAP pressures. Then they adjusted the pressures down despite the pressures being two low per what the NP told me at my appt a week prior. They scheduled my sleep study for night I work
Dr Chaney although a very busy doctor spends the time explaining treatment options and what will best suite you. He puts medical terms in laymen language and truley seems to care for the patients wellbeing.
He listens to me. I feel confident with his medical knowledge proposed treatment. His examination is thorough hes willing to present more than one option for treatment.
Im sure Dr. Chaney is a competent Doctor. However what I found very irritating is that I was billed for an extensive visit at close to $400 where the visit was a 15 minute visit. The visit was the preevaluation before the in home sleep study. The transcript of the visit showed and extensive physical exam when non was performed. I raised the issue with White Wilson who then adjusted my bill. So just saying beware of the charges and procedures claimed.
Phone calls went unanswered. Never received call backs or replies to emails. Front desk staff member rude and angry. My concerns were not addressed. Will never go back.
Dr. Chaney is a highly skilled pulmonologist who treats his patients with compassion and concern. He stays current regarding the latest medical advances and technological procedures in his field is very thorough and an excellent diagnostician. Dr. Chaney takes the time to discuss your case and treatment plan with you and your family in terms you can understand and it is obvious he is interested in you as an individual. You never feel rushed. We are very fortunate to have Dr. Chaney practicing in our medical complex.
Extremely competent. Excellent reassuring bedside manner. Informs you precisely and in a forthright manner yet allays the concerns the patient my wife had about the bronchoscopy answering all questions. He is also a war hero having put his life on the line for others in rescue missions. Overall very impressive to patients not easy to impress. Typically we drive to Pensacola to obtain the Best Medical help available. In this case this Fort Walton physician is even better than his Pensacola counterparts. I would recommend without reservation Dr. CHANEY to friends family and associates.
I went to Dr. Chaney for Asthma on first visit I waited 40 minutes while the front desk staff called people who came in 30 minutes after me. After finally being called went to room and found out I wasnt going to get to see Dr. Chaney who the appointment was made with but his nurse practioner really if I wanted to see a nurse practioner I would have gone to an urgent care. She prescribed singular talked to me about 3 minutes and then left. I received a bill for around 400 dollars in the mail for seeing Dr. Chaney I called the front desk and asked if they charged the same about to see a nurse practioner as the actual specialist and was told yes. I think its wrong that they did not inform me when I made the appointment I would be seeing a nurse practioner then I wouldnt have even bothered.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
