List of Juan C Zarate's Reviews
Heart attack and rushed to the ER. Dr, Zarate was my surgeon who realized my need and placed two stents in my LED artery and prescribed the treatment of a secondary artery. Very caring and professional. Was there to answer my direct questions during my first post-surgery office visit.
He takes time to listen and answer all my questions
After Dr. Zarate advised my Grandmother not to travel for Christmas, I have been working with the front desk staff since December 2020 trying to obtain a letter to provide to the airlines for reimbursement. It is now March 31, 2021 and I have called his office multiple times looking for the letter. I even spoke with the Office Manager and that did no good! They continue saying they will get it to me but I have yet to see it. I am FRUSTRATED that it would take almost 4 MONTHS to obtain a LETTER. His office staff portrays terrible customer service that unfortunately reflect poorly on him!
Dr Zarate is not a thorough Doctor.
Dr. Zarate was very caring and took the time to answer all of my questions. Of all of the cardiologist I have seen he is by far extremely thorough. I would definitely recommend him
Dr Zarate took care of my husband during an emergency, he was skilled, reacted quickly and resolved all cardiac issues. My husband had 100% blockage in lad. I thank Dr Zarate and all the staff at the Fort Walton medical center cath lab for their professionalism. He is doing wonderful and we will have many more years together. God bless our medical staff, paramedics and ICU staff.
Very arrogant and unkind doctor, talked so condescendingly to my dad when my dad tried to ask him any questions. Overheard him talking poorly of my elderly father as soon as we left his office, he thought we had left but my dad stopped to use the restroom. Never took my dad to this doctor again.
Dr. Juan Zarate is, in my view, an extraordinary talent, not only a gifted and highly skilled medical practitioner, but a genuine advocate for his patients, no two of whom are alike. "This is where we're going next" is a phrase I look forward to hearing from Dr. Zarate; it tells me there's a purposeful direction to my treatment. Focused. Direct. Calm. Hallmarks of a true professional.
I was 40 years old and had negative stress tests and some abnormal EKGs, 24 Hour Heart Monitoring and Echos. I was given several heart medications and the aforementioned tests by another cardiologist and advised that I had some blips but that I had to remember that Bill Clinton had a normal stress test and walked out of his doctor's office and had a heart attack. Basically, they were ignoring my symptoms and I knew something was wrong. Dr. Z was referred to me by a colleague. When I called to set appointment, they got me in right away and Dr. told me based on my test results and symptoms I needed a angiogram. I was scheduled within 2 days. I had a 70 % blockage in an artery behind my heart. If other doc had let this go, I would have died! Or, at the very least has a severe heart attack. It broke my heart when he moved so far away and I haven't been able to find another cardiologist that I trust since then. Trust this doctors recommendations, medical skills and knowledge.
Dr. Zarate is my favorite doctor of all time. He saved my life and saveguards my health. In Dr. Zarate the patient gains a personable true caring friend who possesses cutting edge knowledge and wisdom. He is one of the outstanding persons you'll ever meet. You'll feel safe in his care. Wish he could be cloned for more lives to be touched.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
