List of Noah R Converse's Reviews
Very disappointed, the website shows that Dr. Converse does decompression surgery. My daughter has needed this for 3 years, she has had 10 neeve blocks on her occipital nerve. They even said over the phone before we got the referral which was lost and we had to have her primary fax it again. Only to find out that they do not do the decompression surgery. It has been a complete run around for 3 years and this false info is just more icing on the cake.
I had three surgeries by Dr Converse 1st was on my lower back in January 2019 the procedure was TLIF of the L5 -S1 I have me pain free since the surgery. In January 20 had surgery going thru the front of my neck and i rolled over on to my stomach in recovery causing a complication so in February 2020 he did the second one and he went thru the back and when I went back in December 2020 he released from his care and advised that the front and the back also fused together better then he expected. As of July 2021 a I have been pain free for over a year. I highly recommend Dr Converse for any one with Spine problems. I thank him every day for his work. I suffered for over 20 years. Yes I do have limitations as to certain things. And there is no loss of movement. From what had already occurred before visiting him.
Wife has chronic, debilitating back pain. She has had surgery to fix bone on bone in lumbar but has issues in thoracic now. She went to the emergency room (4th visit) for extreme back pain and partial paralysis. They called Dr. Converse who told her unless she had lost all bowel control and was completely paralyzed that she was never to return to the ER or have them call him again. Don't worry, there are other doctors. See this man at your own risk and do not expect him to give you the time of day or care about your needs as a patient. He is much more concerned about his golf game. Would give zero stars if possible.
This man is unconscionable. I have documented back issues including Lumbar surgery for bone on bone. Thoracic is now an issue and been to the ER 4 times now for severe pain, two including levels of paralysis. The last time the ER called him he said, "Do not come back to this ER or have them call me unless you have lost all bowel control and are completely paralyzed." See him at your own risk...he obviously cares more for his golf game than his patients in pain who need him.
I have a documented history of back problems...even lumbar surgery for bone on bone. Thoracic is now acting up and have gone to the ER now 4 times for extreme pain and temporary paralysis. Last time, the ER called Dr. Converse, whom I had seen before, and he said, "Don't come to this ER or have them call me again unless you have lost all bowel control and are completely paralyzed." Wow! Just WOW!
Six months ago I was in a terrible auto accident and my back was broken. Fortunately my spinal column was not cut. I was flown by helicopter to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center where Dr Converse operated on my spine, preserving my spinal column. He saw me soon after the surgery and then again about 2 months later. He spent time with me, helping me understand both what had happened to my spine, but also what he did to help stabilize my spine as well as clean out bits of bone and disc from behind my spinal column. I firmly believe that Dr Converse not only saved my life, but also saved my spine and gave me the best possible chance of preserving my quality of life. I am slowly regaining my ability to walk, and feeling is coming back to my lower body. I am so grateful for Dr. Converse and his staff. It amazes me that anyone can be so educated and skilled to work on such a sensitive part of the body, while still taking the time to help the patient understand. I highly recommend him!
Great doctor, caring staff. My back surgery went smoothly minimal pain. Couldn’t have been in better hands, highly recommending him and his staff!
Dr converse and his staff are amazing - I had ACDF OF C5-6 C6-7 September 2019 and my neck feels great. I just had September 2020 an SI FUSION - and his care and concern are top of the line plus he did an amazing job on both surgeries - BLESSED FOR HIM AND HIS STAFF
Dr Converse is one of the best Doctors I have ever seen. He is a Professional but he really cares about his patients. I've had surgery on my neck and lower back. I'm a retired RN and I appreciate his honest approach but his concern is a nice thing to find. I would recommend him to friend's and family.
May 1, 2020 Dr. Converse performed surgery to remove a benign brain tumor. My recovery has been swift with very minimal to no after surgery pain. For me, no pain medication required. He did an absolutely amazing job. I had no complications, at all, after a very lengthy surgery. Dr. Converse is so professional and caring along with his wonderful staff and nurses. He truly cared about me and my health. He is an incredible surgeon and I highly recommend him to all I know.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
