List of Susan M Guentzel's Reviews
I've been a patient of Dr. Guentzel's for over 30 years. My first appointment, after seeing 4 other doctors with no diagnosis or treatment plan, I presented the following symptoms: trembling hands, sweating, fast heart rate, fatigue and anxiety. She tapped on my ankle and then diagnosed Graves' Disease and sent me to have lab work-up.And she was spot on! She prescribed Rx, advised me that I would be on this medication for a year and then have another lab work-up.After one year, my blood studies came back as negative for Graves' disease.Susan is never wrong on her diagnosis's, her staff is friendly and extremely helpful and I feel blessed to be her patient.A+++++
I wish there were MORE stars. To me, Dr.Guentzel is a 10. She is so attentive to me and my health concerns. She has ALWAYS gone above and beyond to take good care of me. Her Staff is amazing. So kind, caring and funny at times. We all need to be a little light-hearted during these difficult times. Thank you Dr. Guentzel!!!!
Dr Guentzel is fine. The staff however is weak. Prescriptions not called in till end of day (hence multiple trips out when one is ill). Last time, prescription never called in. No way to speak with staff on the phone other than voicemail.
Never available
Very knowledgeable and professional. I’ve been with her for 15 years
Dr Guentzel found heart problem with my husband. If it wasn't for her he would be dead. He ended up with 5 bypasses. Thank you very much.
Susan Guentzel has been my primary physician for over 20 years.I first came to her after suffering for years with rapid heartbeat, sweating profusely, anxiety, and tremors in my hands. Before I came to her, I had spent thousands of dollars, hundreds of hours and at least nine visits to other doctors to no avail. I walked into Susan's office, she came in the exam room, interviewed me, and sent me to have blood work done specific to the thyroid. She diagnosed Graves Disease and put me on medication for a year. I was fortunate that the Graves Disease went into remission.During the past twenty years, Susan has treated me for depression, ILC breast cancer, broken patella, and the "getting old isn't for sissies" process of aging. She has helped me financially by giving me samples, accepting Medicaid, and written off my debt to her.Dr. Guentzel is the very best of human beings. She has the very best staff that are like family to me.And finally, I am eternally grateful for Dr. Guentzel's medical expertise and treatment (which includes treating me as a real person, not a number), her kindness, her humor, and her honesty.
I saw Dr Guentzel years ago. Starting working for a dr in destin. Just came back to see Dr Guentzel. She diagnosed my husband with heart problems. 5 bypasses. He's great now. If it wasn't for her he would probably be dead.
My mother was a patient of Dr. Guentzel for over 20 years. My mother died of a serious, but treatable, disease. When my mother saw this doctor right before her death about symptoms she was having, nothing was done to help her. After my mom died unexpectedly and alone, my family paid to have a private autopsy done. We were shocked and saddened by what we learned. And to top it off, this doctor never contacted our family after my mother died. I got more compassion last year from my vet when my cat died. I know this won't bring my mother back, but my mother's total faith in her doctor caused her death.
Dr. Guentzel is the Best Primary Care Physician I've ever had. She's very upfront. And no B/S. I hope she doesn't retire anytime soon!! Sincerely, Deborah Shaner

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
