List of White-Wilson Medical Center's Reviews
We just switched our 7 month old & 2.5 yr to Dr. Colonna. We have struggled to find a good pediatrician in the area. Let me just say she has been a breath of fresh air!! She gets to know your family & is easy to talk to. I adore her & highly recommend. Her nurse was great as well. This area needs more pediatric providers like her!
We absolutely love Dr. Smith. She is so good with my 11 month old daughter and takes her time with patients.
Got results from sleep study. Was informed of the next steps taken and what I need to do. Very informative and friendly atmosphere. I feel blessed.
On Thursday I was prescribed an antibiotic that made me violently ill. The very next day (Friday) I sent a message to the Immediate Care doctor via the WWMC Patient Portal letting him know and requesting a different medication. Since I didn’t get a response by Monday, I called at 8 am and requested assistance. As of now, I haven’t received any response or an alternate medication. I will probably have to go to an Emergency Room for treatment. Very disappointed in WWMC.
White Wilson Website provides inaccurate information. Immediate Care no longer accepts Walk-in appointments since the COVID pandemic. This is not stated anywhere on WW Bluewater Bay or Fort Walton Immediate care information. Lesson learned, do not show up to Immediate Care without calling and scheduling appointment first. You are also not able to see your primary care physician if you have persistent symptoms of COVID, despite being cleared by Okaloosa county health department to leave quarantine and have been fully vaccinated. If you possess any COVID-like symptoms, like persistent headaches in my case, you will have to be seen in immediate care. Appointment scheduling for immediate commences at 0800 AM daily and if they fill up appointments for that day, you are instructed to call back the following day. I consulted with Bluewater Bay Clinic Supervisor, Michelle Piaquido and voiced my frustration of not being able to see my own PCP to develop a treatment plan for my ongoing headaches. The Clinic Supervisor responded that did not appease my request for clarification and transparency of information provided to patients via their website because she replied "Wow" and abruptly disconnected the telephone call. This discourteous and unprofessional behavior was shocking. I called back WW main operator and stated I wanted to file a formal complaint and I was transferred to Human Resources and received a voicemail message. Unacceptable. Customer service has never been a strong point at WW and I have tolerated it due to the difficulty of finding new local doctors that are accepting new patients. I have been pushed to make that change. Case in point, do not consider White Wilson as the medical facility for any of your healthcare needs. Heed the ratings and reviews.
Called and called and called, for over two weeks, off and on, the automated calling system is the worse. I thought I almost had a live person and then I got hung up on before I could speak. Enough is enough. Some simple ADVICE: HIRE & TRAIN some REAL LIVE people who want to actually work, answer the phones and key in appointments, etc., etc., I tried until I gave up. WW has to be loosing a ton of business. I Called the place on Racetrack Rd for Diagnostic Imaging for Mammogram, lady answered the phone on the 2nd ring, a real person WOW, THANK YOU, (made me tear up with joy, they answered). Made my appointment, went in within 5 days, got it done. Extremely nice staff, and on the ball. Equipment looks newer and more advanced than the old stuff at WW. WW has deteriorated immensely in past few years. Just read the reviews of patients personal BAD experiences with them. And that is just the ones who took the time to write a review.
Pathetic, and I mean PATHETIC! I have been with WW for 11 years and service once you get past the front desk has been great! But when trying to get an appointment with, ( cough, cough) Immediate Care/ Walk In Clinic, is by for a JOKE. Call you get a recording which , goes round and round, and definitely encourages you to GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, and if that doesn't work, holding for 18 minutes may encourage you to hang up and go somewhere else. but once someone answers the phone, they are RUDE, SHORT with you, and the IMMEDIATE CARE/WALK IN Clinic is ALWAYS booked up for the day... Then they ask you are you an Established patient here, ( thinking that may help you get an appointment) only to once again BRUSHED OFF and sent your way in no uncertain SHORT terms. Sad part about it is, the Physicians and PA's are EXCELLENT, many whom I've worked with at the hospital and are friends with on a daily basis outside the clinic. They definitely need to re-write their home page to not mislead the public that THEY ARE NOT an immediate care clinic, nor walk in. Don't go walk in, it'll be a waste of your time, and they'll probably show you the front door. Second time I've been sent away for something that would have taken 20 minutes of their time. Had in known I was going to get a Sinus Infection, I would have scheduled it months ahead of time... Sorry White Wilson for being so impulsive with my diseases. One more time and I'll definitely find another source for my families healthcare, and will let EVERYONE know.
Had open heart surgery the first part of May ton of doctors appointments after getting out of the hospital paid my co-pays from my savings since I’m on a limited income for three months just went back to work got sick called for an appointment at immediate care they literally told me that I had to pay my balance before I could be seen. Haven’t even got my first paycheck yet. It just lets me know that everything’s all about the money now.
Pa Katrina borner refused to keep the appointment after only being 15 minutes late even after I explained I had to walk from building to building trying to find the place! What a COMPLETE WASTE of my time!
Rude and apathetic receptionists.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
