List of Kamalakar Rao's Reviews
Office is very efficient and on time. Everyone is very pleasant and easy to talk to. Dr. Rao and his team saved my life, and continue to do so. He is very through. He has addressed every concern I have had. I live out of state, but travel here as he is my heart Dr.
I personally had a very good experience meeting Dr. Rao and his staff. Everyone was kind and attentive. Dr. Rao answered my questions and did not rush to get to his next appointment. Disappointed to read all the negative reviews.
These doctors do not talk to you!!! You pay for all the testing and yet they never share with you if anything is going on with you!!!!! They treat you like you are a number not a patient. I tired both Dr. Chalasnie and Dr. Rao, they neither one will tell you anything!!!!! Get your records and find someone who will talk to you!!!!! I won’t even give a star but had to!
My experience with Dr.Rao was not to good.I don't recommend him to anybody. The time he spends with the patients is very short, he is always in a in a hurry to see the next patient, they charge per patient, that's why he is always in a hurry, he doesn't care about his patient. FDA should know about this.
He spent very little time with me. Was very short & dismissive of my questions. Told me I have had high blood pressure even though I have had mostly low blood pressure. Never had high blood pressure ever, even at his office. Would not give me straight answers or said “I don’t know” to simple questions. Trying to find a different doctor as Dr Rao acted like I was interrupting his day and not worthy of his time or effort. Would have given zero stars if it were an option.
Dr. Rao is attentive, kind, and easy to talk with about my cardiac issues. He and his staff are truly awesome. Thank you for your expertise and knowledge.
I was taken to Lawnwood ER for AFib. Dr. Rao prescribed 2 Rxes that were contraindicated with another medicine (a VERY common medicine) I take. Serious interactions! Could have KILLED me!!! This was my first AFib episode.Pharmacist was the one who told me. He could not fill the 2 Rxes. I was furious that this so-called cardiologist (Rao) would be so sloppy!I immediately called the hospital, spoke with head doctor. When I was able to convince him I knew what I was talking about, he flipped out about the meds. He yelled, "Don't take the Rx that Rao gave you!! OMG" "Don't take it!!!!" He was very upset and concerned.
Horrible "doctor" "cardiologist" . Shouldn't be allowed to work. Doesn't care about patients. While in the hospital for open heart surgery, overheard half a dozen nurses standing less than 5ft away talk about how careless he is especially when it comes to prescribing medications and giving medications that counteract and can be fatal. To me, he was rude and inconsiderate. Once he found out I had no insurance he walked away and never saw him again the 3 weeks in lawnwood. Pathetic
Delicious meals here.
I have been diagnosed with Atherosclerotic calcification in my aorta - coronary arteries calcifications for years & he NEVER checked my records. Instead he put me thru a physical stress test even though I have severe total spinal stenosis and I tried to explain the stress test was hard on my back but he insisted I finish the test. He said my heart is perfectly normal & never checked me for anything reported in my MRI’s. I think if he doesn’t like his immediately, he ignores any issues they might have. Terrible doctor! He didn’t explain anything I questioned him on & neither did he listen to me or read my reports! Sorry Dr. Rao but I’ll find the right Cardiologist before I have a heart attack or stroke.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
