List of Charles P Sweeney's Reviews
This Eye Surgery Center is awesome. Incredible staff no matter their job. Would like to thank all for their time while having cataract surgery in December 2022. Highly recommended!
I saw Dr Sweeney for a double vision issue. He checked my eyes found no issues but sent me for blood work and a brain scan by MRI. The Dr reviewed a few test results with me by phone but stated there were others he wanted to review. It’s now been two weeks since I was last contacted. I wonder if the doctor had double vision which makes it hard to drive if he would expect quicker response? In any case the doctor did call me yesterday and all checked out good. Finally back on the road to improved vision.
I feel Dr. Sweeney had been quite "cavalier" about my treatment for cataracts. He came highly recommended. I gave in to the "upsell" about having my astigmatism fixed in addition to the cataracts. "You won't need glasses except for reading". The near distance has been improved, but the far distance (for things like seeing signs when driving) still requires glasses. In addition, I now have this shimmering in my vision that comes and goes and Dr. Sweeney's attitude was that it was "just bad luck", and there is nothing to be done. His answer about the far vision was that I could "pass a drive license vision test". That only requires 20/30. I could do that with my glasses before the surgery. I wish I had waited!
The best I've ever been to!
He is very thorough. Explains findings. Has a real concern for his patient. Called to see how I was doing after he initiated therapy, communicated with my primary physician
I had long lasting crippling dry eye after lasik surgery. Traded in my glasses for goggles. He said it is impossible to have morning dry eyes but be ok by the afternoon. Never did classic schirmer test. Instead said he saw no tracks and therefore no "objective" signs of dry eye.Told me to see a psychiatrist since he did not believe my eyes were actually dry. Then lost patience and dismissed me from his practice. The worst doctor I had ever seen.
From start to finish Dr. Sweeney and his entire staff provided me an amazing experience! So caring and concerned at all times and so many people working in every area of the practice- reception, scheduling, billing, all the nurses, other key personnel, and of course Dr. Sweeney! The surgery was easy, quick, and everyone so comforting. Thank you all so much for taking such great care me!!
said I had no dry eye since there were no "tracks" and hence no objective evidence. I guess he has to deny dry eye since he does Lasik. So if someone gets a life time of debilitating dry eye he has to call them crazy one way or another. I would stay away from this doctor. Do not trust your precious eyes to such a denier.
Dr Sweeney saw my husband while he was at N. Fl Regional Hospital. His eyesight was nearly gone due to an eye infection, but Dr Sweeney did extensive eye exams and treatment and soon my husband's eyesight was beginning to return. He even returned on Sunday to follow up. He was kind and gentle and very caring.
Knowledgeable, calming, thorough,

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
