List of Erich T Wyckoff's Reviews
Dr. Wyckoff is one of the most insensitive and demeaning physicians I've ever had the misfortune to meet. He had not read my chart before meeting me and yet he came into the room with the attitude that he knew me better than I knew myself. He continuously dismissed everything I said and spoke over me when I attempted to tell him about my medical history. Instead of listening, he questioned me about "why I thought” I had those diagnoses. At one point, he told me that I'm too young to have had complications like the ones he described, though they were clearly noted in the inpatient records I had faxed over from another hospital (which he admitted he had received yet he had not read). It is widely known in the UF medical circles, including by his own OBGYN colleagues and staff members, that he is lazy, unprofessional, and arrogant. If you'd like to be treated like a human being, listened to, and cared for as more than a number by your doctor, look elsewhere.

At one point, he told me that I'm too young to have had complications like the ones he described, though they were clearly noted in the inpatient records I had faxed over from another hospital (which he admitted he had received yet he had not read). He then told me I couldn't have a procedure because insurance wouldn't cover it (even though it had been covered before) and I wouldn't be able to afford it (despite the fact that he had no idea what I or my partner do for a living or how much money we make). I was finally able to quell the verbal attack when I told him my partner is a physician. Not only did Dr. Wyckoff refuse to provide the care that was necessary (at least according to 4 other OBGYNs I have been followed by) he also refused to listen to me or speak to me like a person. It is widely known in the UF medical circles, including by his own OBGYN colleagues and staff members, that he is lazy, unprofessional, and arrogant. He has even written a book called "God's Physician" where he details accounts of his work and provides immeasurable evidence of his God Complex. He is extremely fortunate that he works at the University of Florida, which has sovereign immunity (or protection from lawsuits) because I am almost certain that he would have been sued numerous times in his career, especially because he lacks the most important protective factors against medical liability suits, empathy. If you'd like to be treated like a human being, listened to, and cared for as more than a number by your doctor, look elsewhere. There are plenty of other great OBGYNs in town!
Dr. Wykoff performed my surgery. He is an excellent surgeon. I cant thank him enough and he was born to be a Surgeon. I was walking the first day and I am already feeling better.
Dr. Wyckoff, attempted to shame me for having HSV-2, making it seem as though my only option was for him to perform a cesarian. when I asked him how he planned to monitor my babies heart rate, he said " Well you are a big woman, so we'll probably have to monitor internally. When I asked about birthing at home, he said that he wouldn't suggest that because I could kill my baby, and if he wasn't the one to be there, I could end up giving my baby cerebral palsy if I wasn't in the hospital. I was not respected, I was continually disrespected and the things he said to me were just plain rude and ill mannered.
He is an amazing doctor that takes the time to listen to your concerns and addresses each one. I had the privilege of him delivering all of my precious babies without any complications. I highly recommend him for any of your Ob/Gyn concerns.
Exceptional care.
I had to revisit a botched hysterectomy done in the Caribbean 8 years prior and Dr. Erich T. Wyckoff was highly recommended by a nurse at Shands At The University of Florida Medical Center. I was very skeptical initially, however after the consultation, I felt comfortable that I had made the right choice. My procedure was complex with complications. The trauma team had to be called in during my surgery as I had adhesion which compromised my colon and a portion of same was removed. Dr. Wyckoff was always professional, patient, caring, answered all of my concerns and was very informative. He has wonderful bedside manners and even kept my family members abreast with the surgery after the procedure. They too felt the genuineness of Dr. Wyckoff's concern and care. The post op visits were great and he has a great sense of humor. I did not feel as if I was just a patient, I fell like a member of a family. Kudos to Dr. Wyckoff and his team for making a very difficult situation bearable and manageable. Thank you Kim, Gloria, Jennen, Greg, MoRondah, and Christine for your kind and caring treatment while I recovered. I will continue to recommend Dr, Wyckoff and UF Shands to my colleagues and a Foundation in my country that assists women experiencing challenges, discomfort and pain due to fibroids.
Patient, kind, professional. Those words describe Dr Wycliffe in my book. Nothing in a negative way. 4 stars is my rating.
I love UF healthcare. I have always had professional physicians, and the women's health department is no exception. It is easy to make appointments and the staff is always courteous and professional. I would recommend UF women's health, however I would not recommend this physician. It is necessary that a gynecologist goes the extra mile to make his or her patients feel at ease throughout the exam, as this is the most physically and emotionally exposing exam that a woman can go through medically. Unfortunately, this was not done. I felt like a barnyard animal; just another member of the herd to be examined. I waited over 40 minutes from the time that the nurse took my blood pressure, and then Dr. Wycoff finally came to see me. Since it was getting close to 5pm, I felt that the exam was very rushed. He did not take the time to explain how he was going to examine my breasts before he did so (i.e. go over the motions, etc.) and just got right to it. Although I am sure his is professionally qualified, he lack the necessary niceties of being a gynecologist.
Dr. Wykoff is truly a GODSEND! I am a mid 30's professional experiencing pain due to uterine fibroids. We only seen and planned to remove 3 fibroids. However, during robotic surgery he found more and got rid of them all. After surgery, it took me 3 days to pass gas, so I could be discharged. He checked on me after the surgery a few times which made me feel that he professionally & personally cared about ME and the procedure. Nine days after surgery, I was pulling a few weeds in my garden and packing for vacation in Aruba! Today, I feel and look great...I believe!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
