Absolutely awful. Facility is filthy, couldn't find records, they seemed not to have a clue Just a warning you may want to reconsider this provider

RED FLAGS Everywhere you look. Even the information on his website is sketchy. He may be board certified but the University he attended is "unavailable"? My own experience with Narayan and associates was of confusion and chaos the likes of which I could scarcely imagine. He is in office only one day a week. Only later do they tell you that to actually talk with "the doctor" you will need to make appointment two weeks from present. They shut off most of the phones at most of the locations, so it is usually impossible to talk to anyone who has any clue at all. Generally his staff only knows to go by a "cook book". My first clue should have been that he shoe horned me in to a regional hospital at the last minute (on car phone when I was heading to another ER in the opposite direction). So, much to my regret, I made a U-ee and drove in the opposite direction. BIG MISTAKE! That none of his offices are set up for IV sedation, which would be very welcomed when it comes to Urology. My surgery at HCA Ocala Regional ultimately failed. What a FRIGGIN NIGHTMARE! Even as I went under anesthesia it was not clear what MD would be doing the surgery. He or his associate? He and his partner (from Nigeria, met at hospital, do not remember his name) are obviously operating on a shoestring. I failed to realize, at the time, that third world medicine has come to Florida. AVOID! Otherwise you will regret the decision.

He is very knowledgeable and kind

My Dad went a MONTH ago for prostate biopsy to find out if he had cancer. We were told we would have the report within two weeks. Upon the two week visit the report wasn't back (so we were told). Dr. Narayan promised he would call personally as soon as the report came back. After waiting another week we called again, and there was still No REPORT! He promised he would call back that day with a report - he didn't. We called the next day and were told the same thing again!! So all said and done we have now waited a month and STILL DO NOT know if my Dad has prostate cancer or not. We are now having to start the process all over as we look for a new Doctor.

Shands Lake Shore Lake City recommended Dr. Narayan as a urologist upon my discharge after gall bladder removal. They left a catheter in, as I could not urinate on my own. This was on a Saturday. I visited his office the following Tuesday. He NEVER even looked at the catheter, but recommended keeping it in and staying on Flomax until a nurse could be sent to my home in a week or so to remove it. He did examine my prostate and said it was swollen. Gave me a prescription for Flomax, which I already had from the hospital. The nurse never called and never came. I called his office twelve times and no call was ever returned. The last call was to tell him I had blood in the catheter bag (at this point, the cath had been in for TWELVE DAYS). His assistant told the answering service to tell me to go to the emergency room. I did and they removed it. I have since healed myself. Dr. Narayan or his assistant never returned a call and have have not heard from him since.
