NEGLIGENCE HOW I ALMOST DIED AFTER A BOTCHED HERNIA SURGERY BY PETER SARANTOS MD AND PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT CYNTHIA ANDERS Peter Sarantos and Cynthia Anders said the surgery would be easy, but during the surgery Sarantos cut blood vessels and I lost about one half liter of blood. Sarantos and Anders lied to keep the surgical error secret. When I got home after the surgery the blood vessels ruptured and filled my pelvis cavity with blood. I fell to the floor in pain, crawled to the phone and called 911 for an ambulance. The blood in the pelvic cavity blocked the blood flow to my leg and caused a DVT. It was excruciating and that is an understatement. I lost around 40% of my blood. I had emergency surgery at NFRMC. The staff in the ED saved my life. After the emergency surgery I spent 4 days in the ICU. All I could do was take shallow breaths and wiggle my fingers. In order to kip his surgical error secret, Sarantos said I had a bleeding disorder and it caused the hemorrhage. Sarantos lies like a used car salesman,. He is gifted at the art of lying. A hematologist came to evaluate my DVT and she spilled the beans about Sarantos and his lies. She stated "you don't have a bleeding disorder, Sarantos needs to watch what he cuts." Sarantos cut blood vessels during the surgery and they ruptured" The surgery was supposed to be outpatient surgery, but I was hospitalized for 9 days and 4 were in the ICU. Sarantos is a joke. He butchered my body creating more medical problems than when I started. Had I filed a lawsuit, Peter Sarantos, Cynthia Anders and NFRMC would've been found guilty of medical malpractice.

Dr. Sarantos is a wonderful person and excellent surgeon, and everyone on his staff will go to extraordinary lengths to help you. Dr. Sarantos has been with me for my entire cancer journey, helping me to overcome obstacles every step of the way. His staff have made my life easier by helping with any and all paperwork required by my insurance and employer. I can't thank them all enough, and would highly recommend.

Dr. Sarantos was very informative as to what was going to happen the day of surgery. It hasn't happened yet but I will be prepared thanks to him.

Dr. Sarantos is so amazing. He is not only extremely skilled, he is also genuine in his care for his patients. He goes above and beyond. In addition, the staff at The surgical group is vey dedicated to customer service. They always follow up quickly and make sure I am taken care of. Love them!

I’m so happy that I had Dr. Sarantos for my surgery. It was thought that it would be a routine procedure, but it was more complicated than expected. Thanks to his skill, patience and knowledge, the procedure was completed without any complications. My recovery was a breeze! He is a great surgeon and also SO kind.

My experience at Dr. Sarantos office was pleasant and informative. Everyone was very helpful and all of my questions were answered when I left. It me longer to fill out the paperwork than my actual appoint lasted.
