He is excellent in the field of podiatry. Over the last 15 years he has treated me twice for bone spurs behind each Achilles tendon. but in addition to this he has twice diagnosed a condition totally unrelated to podiatry. He was accurate both times and even advised me on the specific specialists to go to for treatment. I’m very impressed with this man and have referred three other people to him who have been just as impressed with him

Great doctors, but horrible staff. They cancel appointments same day and do not offer a follow-up or replacement appointment in a timely fashion. Unfortunately, there are not a lot of great podiatrist in this area so you're really at their mercy, my mother was in pain and really needed to get her toenails, trimmed and they acted like they didn't care.

I’ve been a patient of Dr Berens since 1998. He’s about to retire so I was seen by Dr Scott today. Dr. Scott listened to my medical history carefully. His patience was calming. He asked relevant questions concerning my past medical care before explaining the care plan. I’m returning to his office soon. As far as his office staff, they were polite. Justin was helpful and knowledgeable about health insurance procedures. I’ll sure miss Dr Berens, but I think he’s left me in good hands. Jennifer Davis

In all honesty, Dr. Berens himself was kind and knowledgeable at my initial visit to assess the need for surgery. My issues are with one particular person on his staff who does not return calls as promised, even regarding surgery scheduling, blames others or the patient for the issue, and does not provide the information he has promised to provide in a timely fashion (within over a month of a late call-back.) I learned from another doctor's office that, in dealing with Dr. Beren's office, they too had problems with coordinating some work between the two doctors, and they were dealing with this same office staff person at Dr. Beren's office as I. I know Dr. Berens is highly thought of professionally. I wish his office staff lived up to their employer's reputation as well. I went elsewhere for my surgery.

Dr. Berens is the absolute best. He is everything you look for in a doctor. Unfortunately, I have had to have ingrown toenail surgery done twice now (just prone to them) He is very gentle, compassionate, funny and makes sure your good an numb before proceeding with the procedure. I wish every doctor was a Dr. Berens! 10/10.
