They are taking excellent care of my mother the nurses are very attentive to their patients and the rehab therapy that they receive is phenomenal highly recommend. very clean environment.

Do yourself a favor and think twice before depending on this emergency room. They have nursing techs that take your vitals during your long unsuspected wait that do not follow CDC guidelines in cleaning instruments with alcohol wipes between patients. The spread of their pathogens puts the entire community at risk for any super bugs. We witnessed a nurse going from patient to patient taking saturations and never once wiped the pulse ox. They are fully aware their beds are filled and can not possibly get any patients admitted from their ER. In the mean time the emergent care does not exist. It is an unethical culture. You think you are getting emergency care but the truth is absolutely nothing.We watched a stroke victim sit for over 10 hours and no neuro exam, no scans, no meds just vitals that she probably caught Covid from their staff. They bring a new meaning to 3rd world care. Do no harm doesn't exist with the ER doctors who should be calling the CEO or at least the director of CM to work on getting patients discharged from the inpatient side or using observation units.

Had to wait over an hour to be received. Unsat. Poor staff response when paying for a service! Unorganized at minimum.
I was there as a patient for 10 days after being in the hospital for a month and a half. I had a very good experience with therapy and all the staff. They responded to my needs within a reasonable time. Just the food on the weekends needs a little work!

Ninth floor childrens' hospital nurse manager C.Flores. She uses her power to neglect patients. Make alliances with other nurses that then become charge nurses. Then makes her own rules and does not follow UF HEALTH policies. Patients then have to stay in the hospital longer with new issues because of her neglect. How can someone do this? Horrible horrible horrible. My husband was in a car accident And was referred to the UF Health in Daytona. Maria Vessel was the so-called medical professional. We provided UF with our health insurance info and they also asked for our auto insurance information. They failed to provide a claim for with our health insurance provider. Two months after his visit UH sent a bill fir $1249. When we notified them that they did not provide a claim with our health insurance, they said it was too late. Will never use UF again.

Wow,never will I return again,the lady's in the front to register were rude and not very welcoming. I understand it's an emergency room, but this is where people should feel like their in the right place to get help. This is absolutely ridiculous.
PART 2 OF CANDY'S REVIEW....so I cited them the visiting hours from their own patient handbook that clearly stated that visit is from 9 am to 9 pm, and that it says that one person is allowed to stay with the patient at all times, and that there could be two visitors. We were told that the hospital has been frequently changing the rules due to COVID. They said that currently visiting hours were from 9 am to 7 pm, that only one visitor was allowed per patient, and that the patients couldn't have anyone stay with them overnight. We were told this by the clerk in the surgery family waiting room. We continued to state our case, as we were being told different things by different people, and there was no accountability for the people who gave wrong information. Patients may have selected the hospital due to some of its policies, and if that is the case, they made that decision having been given inaccurate information on which to base their decision to come to this hospital. My family would not have chosen this hospital if we had known about this restriction. I felt and continue to feel so much empathy to patients who are stuck there, and for those who made their decision to be there based on the information in the patient handbook and/or the website. When the doctor came in to talk to us after my Mother's surgery we relayed our concerns to her, and I have to say that she went above and beyond by making phone calls and arranging for me to be able to stay with her at all times and that my father would be able to see her when she got to her room after surgery. (My Mom was in post-op for FIVE HOURS before being assigned a room, and we couldn't see her during that time.) I am very thankful to the doctor for arranging this, but it should not have taken an act of Congress to achieve this. To reiterate from the first part of my review, this hospital cares nothing about the emotional well-being of its patients or family members. After the doctor came back and told us she had arranged for my Father to see my Mother and for me to stay with her, we were told by the clerk that our doctor had gone above and beyond to work that out. We were also told that if she were to be admitted to any floor but the third floor, no one would be able to stay with her and there would only be one visitor at a time. I, a 49-year old woman, was also told by the clerk that I had to be in my Mom's room by 7 pm and that I wasn't allowed to come out until 9 am the next morning, and that if I did, I wouldn't be allowed back in. So a 49-year old woman being put, essentially, on "room arrest". Thank God that my Mom is being discharged tomorrow and we will no longer have to deal with this assinine place. Having a loved one so ill and trying to get them back to health is hard enough on the patient and family without having to deal with the hospital's stupidity and prison-like similarity and mentality. As a visitor, I felt as if I were trying to visit an inmate (my Mom), having to get through the wardens (hospital staff) to visit and be with her. So as I write this, I'm sitting with my Mom in her room, and my "room arrest" is to begin in five minutes, and I won't get out for "work release" until tomorrow morning at 9 am. Was in the ER twice within a week, Spent 10 hrs in the waiting room with a total of 24 hrs before we were discharged the first night. The second night we spent 8 hrs in the waiting room while watching a young lady have 3 seizures just for the nurses behind the window come out and look at her. It was a good thing her husband was with her to keep her from falling out of her chair. I would not recommend coming here, find somewhere else to go. I ended up leaving with my daughter after I was told it would be another 8-9 hrs before she would be seen.... Took her to her Dr the next day, in-and-out within a hour!
I have a friend of mine who’s mother has been staying at this particular facility for rehabilitation after her surgery.I was informed that 2 nurses were very rude to her infront and behind closed doors. They were caught making fun of her (a patient) and did not seem to care. And yes she cried from how cruel they were to her.The names of the nurses are Patrice and Chanda.Those women are abusing their powers to heal others and are hurting others. I’m sure this is not the first patient they have offended during their rounds.Nurses like them should not be allowed to work in this type of field.This review is to be heard and I hope some type of action and review of their performances will be taken into consideration immediately.
So your nurses here are aloud to make fun of a woman's speech impediment after having brain surgery! To the point she was in tears this place is a joke you need to fix this issue!
I was sent by the er doctors for a reason and I asked when making appointment is it a female doctor I will be seeing because I only see females. Doctors told me I need to lose weight, when in fact I did lose weight it was just I was bed and chair bound until a few years now and I wasn't the person who put me in the chair, they where.Trying to walk more but safety. i told the doctor you cant blame it on just weight. I was injured and that made my pain worse. But I'm lost how a doctor going to say he don't know what to do or how to treat me! Then seem like the doctor was making it, like I'm asking for more pain medication. I only come because I was told to , that it. When you have disc bulged out and nerves pinching what do you expected
Not clean at all, very dirty! Waited over 5 hours for our scheduled appt and finally left without ever being admitted. When we asked for an update on when we could expect to be admitted with our child the staff acted annoyed and rude. Do not take COVID serious. Did not check temperatures or ID's like other hospitals do. A horrible experience.
I was a patient there for about 3 weeks. Everyone was very nice, compassionate but yet professional. This was my first time being in rehab so I was nervous on top of the pain I was in. Dr. Murphy is a great Doctor, so is all the staff!
