Nirmala Shanmugam's Online Review Report Card

Sorry to say but a patient is told to Leave a message and no one calls back for three days. Why would I need her ?????? She may be a good doctor, means nothing to an ailing patient.

VERY unprofessional and the office staff is rude. I had a 3 minute zoom appt. that was not explained it would be zoom so the call was 1/2 hr late since no link was sent to me. Then she said she would call for appt., 10 days later I called for appt since nobody called, the staff was sooo rude and said they would call. Well a month later they didn't. This phone appt. was on 7/28...I then went to my husband's doctor instead since he had his colonostopy by then (it is now Sept 5th). I called a 2nd time days later and the 2nd girl was ruder than the first. At that point I decided I didn't want to deal with her or her staff so I made appt. with my husband's doctor who was very professional. He was in the same network and Shanmugam so she had to release me to him, which they did. I went and couldn't be happier but when I went to pay my co-pay they wanted one for Shanmugam also. I told them, I am not paying her for a 3 minute phone call and will be disputing same; which I have done! The day before my appt. with my other doctor Gastro a number came up on my phone and answered it thinking it was a reminder call of appt. and it was Shanmugam's office. I am amazed she has so many stars in her reviews...if I could give her 0 stars I would. So beware....I went to Dr. Horvath..great doctor, great office staff!!

I found Dr. Shanmugam very knowledgeable and personable. She has definitely had a "healers" vibe during my visits. Complements to the staff at the Wellington office as well. I feel like I'm in good hands from the time I walk in the door till I check out.

I’m happy with Dr. Shanmugan but she gave me two samples that ran out a week ago and my husband has been trying to call your office and leaving messages for the past two weeks! My husband and I are beyond frustrated. He was going to have Dr. Shanmugan do his colonoscopy but now we might need to go to another doctor. He asked to speak with the office manager and they said there’s no office manager and he could barely hear her. Also he left a few messages for Shirella, Jennifer and no one called back or called in my scripts that I desperately need due to my bowel movement issues. We’re not happy and even though we really like the doctor we might have to go somewhere else. How can the doctor run her office this way? We’re very unhappy about this. Would be nice to finally get a call back or even for someone to call in my scripts that I ran out of since Dr. Shanmugan only gave me enough for two weeks. I hope I hear back from someone? I got appointment quickly. Dr. Shanmugam is an outstanding doctor. Very caring. Very comfortable to talk to this doctor. Thank you to her !

I love dr shumungo because she is very caring and understanding and she make you feel soo comfortable when you talk to her I really appreciate her love and caring that she shows
