I had 2 surgeries, the first knee replacement was in July 2017 and it came apart. I knew something was not right and I finally went back, did a cat scan on my replacement and it had come apart. So in April of 2018, he did a revision. Everything worked this time. When I went for my last follow-up and I asked him nicely, why did the first knee replacement come apart? I assumed he saw the scan of the first one and when he did it the second time, he should know. His answer was Oh I am a bad Dr. and I said no. It is my right to know why it came apart. I had a lot of suffering and he gets mad. Just speculated on it. He said the last thing it is water under the bridge forget about it. I think he has a lot of stress issues and he just did not like me. Then we out walk out of the room. He was standing talking to his nurses and I said goodbye, all of the nurses said goodbye. He did not say a word to me. That hurt me so much. I walked out to leave and I said to myself I would never, ever go back to see him. He was too rude and condesesending. I am 72 years old now. Would he want his mom or Grandmother to be talked to the way he did to me?

Dr Steele is awesome! He replaced both of my mom's hips & just did my husband's. He is a great surgeon & would highly recommend him & his team.

Dr Steele is the greatest. When I choose him, I wanted a sober, athletic serious person to do my surgery. He was exactly that. His surgery has given me my active life back. I spent 5 of the last 10 years hobbling around. Now I am surfing and biking again and I believe my mental well being has greatly improved. I'm going to Hawaii soon to surf the pipeline and really but this new hip to the test. Will let you know.

I wish I could give him 6 stars. I tried to have my hip replaced in Korea and was not able too. I search and sent many emails to doctors in Pensacola and only his staff replied me. Its been two months since my surgery and I feel good as new. If you think you need a hip replacement look no further!

Excellent job. Dr. G. Draxton Steele from Andrews Institute was the Best! I am 2 days out of surgery today...very little pain. Using my walker and feeling so much better... ??

I had a hip replacement five years ago by Dr. Steele. I ended up with a better hip, but a mass”of something” below my incision. It causes pain with any type of pressure..sleeping, sitting etc. Upon my complaints to Dr. Steele, his reply was, “ I have never seen anything like that before.” I said, well, can you fix it?” He said, “I do hip replacements not hip repairs!” I commented,”Well, it wasn’t there before the surgery.” He said, once again, “ I do hip replacements, not hip repairs.” Five years later still suffering with this “unknown, unseen ever before by him, “mass”. I would never go to him again for a hip replacement. He can write a book..but remember he makes no corrections to his surgery mistakes. Very sad for me. He seemed arrogant. . He NEVER made a referral to anyone else to help me, either.

A second knee replacement and Dr. Steele did the 2nd surgery. The pre-schedule was guiet valuable and the resulting surgery was by far an improvement on the first replacement surgery / program. If I had a hip or a third knee for surgery, I would definately go with Dr. Steele !!!

I have heard from several people who chose him for their knee surgery. All of these people really liked him and felt he was very knowledgeable in his craft. //they were happy with his work and felt better than before the surgery.
