Had ankle replacement multiple times with another doctor (my mistake). Dr Nilssen fixed it by undoing what the other man did and fixing it. I had been on a scooter for 3 1/2 years. 3 1/2 months after seeing Dr Nilssen I was walking! He is an amazing doctor who listens and communicates with his patients. The four hour drive is well worth it!! 104 hours would be too!

I recently had the pleasure of going to Dr. Nilssen's practice to get a second opinion. My original doctor recommended removing a broken sesamoid bone. I was so glad to hear that Dr. Nilssen could do a debridement instead and that removing the bone was not necessary. Everything went smoothly. I'm 1.5 weeks post opp and have been walking in a boot since immediately after. His practice is extremely clean, his staff are all knowledgable and kind, and he has a great bedside manner. I highly recommend his practice!

Dr Nilssen is that rare physician who treats his patients as if they were his own family. He takes time to answer questions, explain things and just make you feel so comfortable and at ease with everything. He is the absolute best at what he does and you can tell he sincerely cares and has the highest passion. I cannot thank Dr. Nilssen and his staff/team strongly enough and remain deeply grateful!!

Dr. Nilssen and his staff are amazing! He did my daughters ankle reconstruction surgery and I could not be more pleased with the results. His staff is fabulous, answering all this worried moms questions whenever I called. Never had any issues and she is on the road to recovery. Thank you Nilssen Orthopedics for an amazing experience!

Horrible doctor, horrible man. Would not let him do surgery on my dog. I am permanently hobbled thanks to his incompetence. He should have his license pulled. I can't believe the stuff he gets away with.

I believe Dr. Nilssen is a good and thoughtful physician. The issue I have had is with the horrendous lack of communication from the Nursing staff. Over a two month period I have made four phone calls requesting information concerning my care and have received no communication in return. THIS IS RIDICULOUS!
