His caring, unhurried demeanor lends itself to successful treatment plans. We’ve been fortunate to have such an excellent practitioner available in our community.

Dr. Richard Matthews has been my primary care physician for the past twenty years. That being said, He is one of the most thorough , attentive, focused doctors I have seen regarding my medical Health. I have extremely high regard for Dr. Matthews and he is a credit to his profession. He is focused on delivering the best quality medical care possible for me and my family. Dr. Matthews in my opinion is one of the best medical doctors in the Gulf breeze area. He is definitely five stars.

Dr. Matthews has been our primary Doctor since 1996. During all our visits he has consistently shown a genuine interest in our health and well being. He left the area for a couple of years and we were ecstatic when he returned and we could see him again. He and his staff have always been the best in helping us getting the right care, and following up as necessary.

Dr. Matthews has been our family doctor since 1996. He has consistently provided us with a tremendous amount of compassion and honesty during our visits. We have never experienced any difficulty when short notice needs for consultation arose; he and his staff were always available. I've had over 25 years of military service and wished I had known him during that time. He's honest and forthcoming, knowledgeable and we highly recommend him to all our friends and relatives.

Dr. Matthews has been our family physician for 25 years.During that entire time we have never had a problem with or making an appointment through his staff. As a matter of fact through the years they have always worked to accommodated my family's various schedules.As a now retired RN I am deeply involved in obtaining the best possible medical care for myself, my wife and my three children. Dr. Matthews' treatment and specialty care referrals have always been individualized, caring and excellent. In a community with many physicians, I feel fortunate to have had access to one of the best.

Beware!!! Dr. Matthews does his medical evaluations on his patients via the ZOOM platform!!! Yes, Dr Matthews doesn't offer to lay hands on his patients. Somehow his brand of family medicine is capable of taking patients temp, blood pressure, resp. and pulse, all via ZOOM!!!! AND his staff informs his patients, many of them having had an appt with the Dr for over 3 months, the week before their appt. Thus, it being year end, now an extreme rush to find another Dr. Find another Dr who actually brings his patients into his office, into an exam room and actually conducts a well patient examination by visual and physical examination. BEWARE that this Dr. is not offering to do this. Patients have options and there is always going to be another M.D. in a city of this size. A Dr who really is concerned about the well being of his patients can be obtained, but I do not think that Dr Matthews is one of those.
