Bruce Champagne's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Champagne was totally creepy and weird. I saw him about 20 years ago. He was neighborhood close and I needed a doctor for sick notes for my NY City Sanitation Department job. He saw that I had an earring and asked me to take an AIDS test. I am straight and he had no idea that he was offensive. He was great for absence notes but a zero as a doctor.

He was not nice and I stopped going to him. Always felt rushed with Dr. Champagne . The office has a new doctor who I actually like so far. The staff very nice and efficient . Let's see how it goes .

Dr C was my general practitioner for about a decade in NY. I am beyond sad that he moved. Dr. Champagne was always so willing to help. His communications were always prompt and reliable. I could tell through his amazing dry humor that he cared deeply about me and all of my friends. Literally all of them. We al went to him. He hears you out and takes you seriously while remaining a grounding tether, never one to overreact or under-react. He neither wastes your time or patronizes. Just the best. He is a wonderful person and a great Doctor, he listen to everything you have to say and very compassionate, every minute is well spent when you go to see Dr.Champagne and you walk out of the office with a resolution to you problem.

He is awesome. To the point, explains everything. Very personable. Has a dry sense of humor. And I TRUST him. I once read, You should hunt for a good family/personal doctor like you would hunt for a wife. Because you hope he + you will be around for a long, long time. They don't come much better.

Dr. Champagne is extremely professional. I trust his ability to diagnose and treat whatever may be my reason for seeing him. He has a quirky sense of humor that appeals to me. I would highly recommend him.

Worst PCP I've ever been to. He insulted me to my face on numerous occasions, hardly spent any time with me at all, schedules appointments that my insurance won't cover and then turns me away when I show up for the appointment, doesn't follow up with me and gets annoyed when you call him to follow up. Need I go on??

Dr. Champagne is competent;he does has a dry, witty sense of humor, which at first I did not appreciate.But...a good doctor...ease of getting an appointment and seems to know what he is talking about...

Sarcastic and dry, but always dead on accurate, this is my favorite doctor overall. Dr. Champagne is brilliant, reads new studies DAILY and is constantly on the cutting edge of new therapies and research. He has excellent referrals to specialists, his office staff is wonderful, and it's a great location. Dr. Champagne may not sob and hold your hand if you have a belly ache, but he'll solve it quickly, make you laugh, and be efficient. Excellent doctor.

Dr.Champagne was referred to me by friends and other Doctors. He is excellent in his field and establish a good relationship with patients, respectable, no nonsense and rare and funny. I pick the right one. I help him with answering all his question.The front desk are great .BUT>>> BUT--In the referral Dept. is below poor and it doesn't matter if you call three weeks in advance or a week (asap by doctor) . either the girls don't pass the messages or just don't care.I had to call HIP to get referral authorzation in order for Dr Patel to see me(face was swellon) with a advance appointment. I was informed by HIP that there are several complaints about who handles the referrals at( Dr.Champagne) girls( two different refuses to give name) claim that the system is down and is not true.HIP STATES THAT ONLY NEED (IF THERE IS A PROBLEM ) 48 hrs.(2 DAYS) TO GET APPROVAL. HIP STATES THAT THERE WAS NO REASON WHY THE OFFICE COULD NOT GIVE IT TO ME. HIP TOLD ME FOR THE NEXT TIME CALL THE OFFICE AND IN TWO DAYS CALL HIP FOR FOLLLOW-UP. This is a good doctor and I not changing him. He is not be wasting time in baby sitting people who don't do their jobs when it come to other peoples' health. I am my own advocate.
