List of Todd Welliver's Reviews
Bedside manner could use a tune up. I have had a persistent dry cough for the last two weeks due to sinusitis and a mild infection. I told him I have been taking Delsym, mucinex, flonase and nothing will help with the cough. He said he was going to prescribe Delsym and mucinex. I said I have been taking Delsym for two weeks and it isn't working. He replied "Well we don't prescribe narcotics". As if I am a junkie looking for a fix. He then told me to try Robitussin or some other brand. Nothing stops a cough entirely. Even I know that most over the counter cough syrups contain the same active ingredient so if one doesn't work, none of them will. Why bother going to a doctor for a prescription for over the counter items I can get an any drugstore? Total waste of time and money. I understand why he has such low ratings. I have dealt with allergies and sinus issues my entire life. I used to have a very good doctor in Miami who told me that if I have gone through half a bottle of cough syrup stop because it isn't going to work. Come see him for a prescription. Every time he would prescribe something and my cough would clear up within a couple of days. I guess I was hoping I would see a good doctor.
Dr. Welliver has no bed side manners, very rude and obnoxious.. His demeanor was terrible he rushed in and out of the office... Didnt bother to answer my questions, seem to be bother by what I was saying.. awful!! Beware of Dr. Welliver
Dr. wellliver was knowledgeable as a doctor but failed to meet basic professional expectation. He walked in without introducing himself, and was very passive aggressive when I questioned his diagnose when he spoke with me for about 20 seconds. He responded with “that’s what I went to med school for”. If he took the chance to at least introduce himself and ask my name I would have told him I am a current medical student and wanted to confirm what he was prescribing me. I didn’t appreciate his demeanor either. I am a sick patient that chose him to take care of me and he could care less, just wanted to get rid of me. Overall, he just amped up the drug from a penicillin to a tetracycline because I reiterated my concern of pneumonia. If you value real patient care I would avoid Dr.Welliver.
Very dismissive and wasn't open to listening to my situation. Would not recommend.
I had to go to Dr. Welliver for what turned out to be a bad yeast infection, and he was absolutely the rudest doctor I've encountered. Not only was he unkind and dismissive, he actually handed my fiance a flashlight to hold while giving me a pelvic exam! I mean, are you kidding me? This is not a treasure hunt; how completely unprofessional and embarrassing! Also, the pelvic exam even proved unnecessary, as he said afterwards that he "knew" it was a yeast infection. Avoid this doctor at all costs if you don't want a similar experience.
I saw Dr. Welliver on several occasions in 2010. I had multiple MAJOR issues going on that greatly affected my mobility and had an incredible amount of pain. He told me and my husband that it was simply depression and that there was nothing "physically wrong" with me. He referred me to a neurologist locally and between the two of them determined everything was going very wrong with me because of depression. WHAT A JOKE!!! I decided after quite sometime, before Dr Welliver went out of practice in Loxahatchee, that I had to seek care elsewhere. It was VERY apparent that I was slowly becoming disabled physically. It turned out that my spinal cord was compressed so severely that having surgery itself would be life threatening. Five surgeons including a major clinic specializing in spinal surgery turned me down for treatment. It took yet another year and at the cost of my career, my ability to be employed (permanently), and becoming disabled, I finally found the right team of doctors to do the surgery. After two surgeries and a couple of weeks in ICU, I no longer have a compressed spinal cord. However, I am now permanently disabled and my spine still has to have another surgery at some time in the future. As for me, this doctor affected me in ways I can never fully recover from and I am only in my early 40s!
Dr Welliver is the best doctor I have ever been to in my entire life. He is very focused on detail and is very into doing what is best for each patient. I have never had a doctor that cares so much about my overall health.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
