Thorough and professional. Would recommend for shoulder injuries
He did a great job an two shoulders over 15 years ago and I still have.full range of motion. I would not recognize anyone else. Thanks Dr V
Drove from Jacksonville just to see him.
I would give 4 stars for the procedure and zero stars for care there after. Had an issue right after shoulder surgery and called the office and was left feeling, I’m bothering them. Money in pocket, see ya. I was told (preop) that I would go home with one sling and left the hospital barely in one (bare min sling). I was also told how important the positioning of the shoulder needed to be (mandatory) and I was left with the elbow completely out of the sling. They blamed it on the hospital but didn’t rectify the concern; guess they didn’t want to fork over the extra expensive (hospital said that’s what he sent him home with). The follow-up care is sub par. If you try and address a concern, he takes it personal and throws a joke at you. I know hospitality is hard to find in the medical community, but it’s really not that hard to standardize it in your operations (you included). Your aftercare needs some implementation of care (hence the name afterCARE). This conveyor belt style of care may work for the Boomers, but it will not go far with the newer generations; which, will be your bread and butter-just saying… I will not return for any more concerns (post-op), nor recommend Dr. V’s services.
Lacks compassion Horrible bedside manor Hateful Never returning to him
I have had excellent experience with Dr Vickarous. I had shoulder surgery in MAY. He is a very kind caring, and compassionate dr. He explained all aspects of the surgery so that I would know what to expect. Excellent Surgeon. I am healing great. I would highly recommend him
I went to Dr Vickarious looking for a second opinion for my knee problem. The doctor was very kind, listen to my approach with respect and attention. He diagnosed me in an excellent way. He is definitely a great doctor.
He was extremely rude and so was his staff. They were supposed to call in a prescription for me two weeks ago, and it still hasn’t been done even though I’ve called them twice to complain and they said they would get on it right away. When I told Dr Vickaryous about this he was like, “That was my staff, not me. I can’t answer for them.” He went on to give me his diagnosis, which was completely different from the diagnosis the nurse practitioner in the same office had given me two weeks ago. Obviously at least one of them is wrong, but how am I supposed to know which? At this point I don’t trust either one. And at the end of the appointment when I summed up my frustrations with the way I’ve been treated at this practice, Dr Vickaryous said “We’re done here” and walked out the door. Please AVOID THIS PRACTICE AT ALL COSTS. They are rude and unprofessional and you deserve better.
Had total tear of shoulder tendon along with impingement requiring debridement. Surgery went perfect. Dr. Vickarous demonstrates great care and concern for the patient. Communicates in direct fashion. Thankful he is my doctor
Excellent doctor.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
