List of David Jager's Reviews
I have visited Dr Jager about 5 or 6 times for triggerpoint injections for my back pain. He is very friendly and always shakes your hand ( a rarety these days). He is careful to target the injections to the rights spots. They only help to lower the pain, not eliminate it. But that’s not his fault. It is important to be aware that he practices at Advent Health Hospital and they will hit you with a big bill for a facilities charge at the time of the visit. Later on you will receive another bill (much more reasonable) from the doctor.
Incompetent staff. I waited 2 weeks for an appointment call. Finally I called them. They said the referring doctor didn't send all the info they needed, but instead of calling that office, they had done nothing. I had to call the referring office myself and handle it. Upon receiving the updated information, they again did NOTHING. I had to call back the next day and ask for the office manager in order to get an appointment. On the way to the appointment I was held up twice, once by a car wreck, the other time by a train. I drove around the office but there was no parking spots. Same thing next door. I finally found parking 2 buildings away. The delays made me 15 minutes late. The office waiting room was packed with patients, so obviously Dr. Jager was running behind and hadn't yet seen the patients scheduled prior to me. The receptionist told me that I was late. I explained the circumstances to her, and she replied she'd have to talk to Dr. Jager to see if he would see me today. I told her that I certainly hoped he would honor my appointment, especially given the history and circumstances. She came back 15 minutes later and told me I had 2 options. One was to sit there ALL DAY in hopes that a patient cancelled so they could fit me in. Option #2 was to reschedule and be seen nearly a month later. I chose Option #3. I walked out the door, never to return to that incompetent office and arrogant doctor. I hope none of you will schedule with this doctor either.
Dr. Jager is a horrible person. An uncaring, self-centered self-serving jerk. At my one and only appt. with him he was rude and arrogant. He was not interested in listening to my tale of chronic back pain which is why I had the appt. He cut me off, virtually accused me of lying and being a drug addict. Florida Hospital in Altamonte Springs, FL should disassociate itself with this so-called doctor. I wasn't asked to schedule a follow-up appointment either and was escorted out by his nurse.
I personally feel the spinal injection worked and we're done ok. Keep all receipts and ask for a super bill with everything completely explained. Then ask for the bill they present to insurance. Check with your insurance on what is covered and what is your responsibility. Do not pay extra a couple of months later when you get called for the first time that you now owe a facility fee. Overhead should be included initially! My opinion
Excellent
Dr. Jager is very unpleasant. He seems wholly unconcerned with patients and their pain. I had to move to Florida after reconstructive spine surgery from a failed fusion which involved anterior and posterior incisions to fix a failed fusion because that is where my family lives and I needed support. I had my surgery in GA at Emory because that was the closest complex spine surgeon who would take my case. I needed to have post-operative care in Florida and Dr. Jager treated me like a drug addict/seeker. It is not that I am unwilling to try different approaches. It is that I am recovering from surgery and need help from a true professional anesthesiologist/pain doctor to manage my pain and to get off my pain medications as I am healing. Dr. Jager is not a professional anesthesiologist/pain doctor, and I do not recommend him at all.
Claimed 45+ minute visit with my insurance company when he only actually spent 7-12 minutes with me. However, I waited over one hour to see this doctor. Beware of the rip-off double billing scheme. After copay of $35.00 Florida Hospital bills each patience he see $300.00 for rent on exam room. Don't waste your time or money.
This guy thinks he is divine and we lowly patients should worship him.
Dr. Jager is an excellent pain management doctor. I have been under his care for approximately 7 years and for the first time was able to find relief from the treatment received. He is very caring and spends the necessary time to access the issues presented. I had been to other doctors for the same condition but found no success.
Good Doc, no real complaints with him. The problem is his staff is horrible, rude, and uncaring. They make you wait with no explanation. Doctors office is in Florida Hospital who charges you for his rent. Then you must pay him for his services. However, his staff collects for Florida Hospital only. Even if you try to pay the doctors fees they will not collect. You are told you will receive a bill in the mail. Sometimes you do sometimes you dont. Then the next thing you know you are in collections. He's not worth the double charges & ruining credit. If you complain he backs his staff. Looking for another doctor!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
