I landed in hospital for infected animal bite which quickly turned into cellulitis. 18 hours of IV antibiotic prescribed by hospital physician did nothing and infection continued to spread. Enter Dr. Hamid next morning into my hospital room. He immediately recognized what was going on, had them switch the antibiotic IV to something different, quickly explained to me what he was doing and why, and asked if I had any questions. Hospital staff switched the antibiotic as instructed, and within hours the infection which had been resistant began to resolve. I was released from hospital the next day. I would absolutely recommend this physician. He's quick, perceptive, and knows his stuff.
With only one review published here, I was wondering how this appointment would go. Thankfully, it was a complete 360. My husband had seen Dr. Hamid in the hospital and when he was released the doctor had prescribed IV meds for the next 3 weeks. The nurse and myself called him several times during those 3 wks and he was the one who answered the phone and was very courteous and promptly addressed any and all issues we had. The office visit was wonderful as we only dealt with the doctor and were not asked the same questions by 3 or 4 people before seeing the doctor as in most offices. The doctor was serious when the situation called for it but also showed a great sense of humor. His expertize was needed and we so greatly appreciate the care my husband received. I hope everyone else has the same experience that we did with this fine doctor. I would defiantly recommend him to anyone who needed this type of service.
I am from NY moved to Florida in 2009. I have been having these weird symptoms for the past 11 years(2004). After several doctors ( in NY) couldnt find out what was wrong with me i let it go and just dealt with these horrible symptoms. When i moved to Florida i never got checked for it until recently my symptoms were getting WORST! I couldnt take it anymore and went to my PCP, he ordered a Lyme test with the results being: 1 positive the other negative. He believes there is something wrong with me based on all of my symptoms and told me even tho it came back negative per CDC guidlines he would refer me to one of I.D specialist he knows of. I was excited to go to finally he may rule out definite Lyme, or maybe something else no one could figure out. I was wrong. From the moment i walked into his office he had a nasty attitude. He told me my doctor never faxed him the test results so he would not be able to see me. I told him that i had the results with me in my purse, he looked at me and walked away. receptionist then calls me and tells me i am sorry but we do not take your insurance ( Aetna) i told her that he was listed on the provider directory on Aetna, she went and told him about that and he yelled saying that was 6 years ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So then she comes and tells me that he would charge me $100. Fine, at this point everything i have been through for the past 10+ years i wouldnt mind paying, BUT before i actually paid that i wanted to know if he can at least tell me if he would be able to help me based on my test results if not i was not going to pay him $100 for him to tell me that he cannot help me. He did not want to say he had an attitude. I was devasted. I went to my car started googling another specialist in the area, my husband was with me and said lets just go in give him the $100 and call it a day, you have been sick for all these years we are already here, so i told him go ahead and check to see if he will because he is rude. He went to go check and the door outside was locked he knocked for about 2 minutes and the dcotor came opened it he told him no because the nurse left for the day. At that point i became frustrated because i needed to find a doctor that can help me as soon as possible. 10 minutes later im still in my car in the parking lot googling another doctor, a patient comes tries to go in and the door is locked, she is knocking for 2 minutes and he comes opens the door and she is talking to him and then he lets her inside. I was even more frustrated how a Doctor does not want to help someone that is sick. He knew what i was there for and knows how serious lyme is if its not treated. I most likely had this for 10 years + and he didnt care. It was plain to see he did not want to see me at all... Because he didnt take my insurance, and i wanted to know if giving him $100 would be worth it by telling if he would be able to help, you can tell he is all about the money and does not care about the patient! beware!!!!!!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
