Dr Jorge Barros (pulmonologist) office is scamming patients charging an extra $100.00 over co-pay over contracted amount with BlueCross blue shield in network visits, as per office policy claiming the deductible not met, when it should never be applied to Dr's visits as per contract. they claim most Dr's office do this a total scam and should be investigated as they do it to all patients.

I was sadden to see someone give Dr. Barros a low review b/c they had to see him in person to hear they’re doing better. I would love to get that news in person. Dr. Barros & his PA have gone beyond the call of duty with my care & I’ve heard the same from other patients waiting to see him. I’m pleased with the care & attentiveness received from Dr. Barros and his team, in person & telemed. I hope this review helps someone overlook a bad review.

The problem is all his nurses. I am talking about the ones in Hialeah office. They are the must rude and unprofessional group of nurses and assistants than I have ever encountered in my life. It is disgusting how they think they are entitled to treat people like that way or is abusive. People like them shouldn't be able to hold a license.

This is one of the worst places. They will suck every bit of the blood out of you. Not a doctor's office but a place to suck every penny out of you. They will make you to pay and schedule an appt to tell that you are just fine. Most doctors will tell you that you are fine over the phone without making you to pay!!!

It is frustrating to give a bad review to a great doctor, because of rude and incompetent staff. Having said that, It's our responsibility, as patients to bring those things to light, as in some situations, as in a given case, unprofessional front desk staff, act as if the medical office exists for their personal needs, to satisfy their ego, instead of helping the physician they work for provide medical services for patients, which is why the medical office exists! I met with Dr. Barros, and honestly left the office impressed, by his bedside manners, knowledge, information he shared, his listening skills, and patience! I was sure I found the specialist needed, for my new health concerns! He released me with prescription for medicine and referral for tests. All seemed absolutely great up to this point! But then, the nightmare has begun, when I called a week after, to simply inquire why 7 days passed and the diagnostic centre that was supposed to contact me, as per the concrete plan & explanation by the front desk staff on the day of the visit, didn't call me. A simple inquiry, that could have been resolved with a clarification and basic investigation of what might have gone wrong, ended up with a front desk lady yelling at me over the phone after I found out, and dared to point out, that one of their staff members passed a non existing phone number [the front desk lady claiming to be mine!] to the diagnostic centre, yet instead of apologizing, she chose to blame the patient, for daring to point out her error, deny responsibility, not allowing me to speak, and interrupting before I finished a sentence, just to prove her point, raising her voice and finally hanging up on me when I asked her to pause talking and allow me to speak too to express my concerns. I tried leaving a message to the physician directly, through the after hours service, to notify how his staff members treat his patients and that I would have loved to continue with his care, but looks like messages aren't passed to him. I found another service provider, incredibly disappointed as I truly liked Dr. Barros. Sad to see how front desk can completely intoxicate the environment where a great doctor works!

does not allow you to ask unkind questions, makes your assistant do surgery...

Dr Barros is an excellent physician, solved my breathing issue! His staff excellent! Not a long wait, and they get to the core of the problem very rapidly! I recommend this specialist, don't waste your time looking elsewhere, accepts most insurances.
