When women are ttc the last thing they want is for someone in control to drop the ball. Both comprehension and communication plays a big role especially when dealing with a subject of such. I have been a patient with ivfmd about 4 months now and have yet to past the stage of meeting with the doctor to go over my results. First the nurse forgot to put in my birth control pills and advise me when to start missed that cycle. Finally get an SIS get a follow up appointment a week later and can’t be seen bc I was late after I’ve already gone over this prior to the appointment that I would be15 minutes late bc of the time she had given me. Very disappointed On another journey in search of IVF

In August 2021 my husband and I had an appt. with the Naples office. Made this appt. month and a half prior, filled out paperwork, Appt. was confirmed day before the whole nine. When we got there my husband who took off from work, myself and my 2 yr. old after waiting for a good 10 minutes before we were greeted, we were told that my 2 yr. old was not allowed to be with us in our appt. due to Covid. NEVER in our conversation with the times I spoke with the office did they say anything about COVID policies and that no children were not allowed. This was our first time hearing about no children in their office. After several attempts with giving us an opportunity to let us go through the appt. and the fact that we were not going to leave our child alone... we now have an altercation with three insensitive, uncaring and completely useless women telling us that they adamantly told us about their COVID policy and children. If that were to be the case we would've taken proper measures to get a babysitter.  Moments after with this nonsense, one woman said they would retrieve the recorded conversation on what was said on the phone call and get back to us. We never heard a word back until 2 weeks later that we received a "discontinue of care" letter" from the South Miami office Oscar Machado (Chief Operating Officer) stating the displeasure of the whole experience within the 20 minutes of our first and only encounter. Someone in his position could have called us as well to get the full story since he was not present.   instead of offering an apology of their NON compassionate ways and their lack of miscommunication from their staff they shut us off completely with a cowardly letter. This was so distasteful and disheartening to us because of the emotional nature of our reason of going in the first place. We were looking forward to our appt. and having hopes. Never have we experienced and been treated so cruel by a place that is suppose to care and have bedside manners. We as a couple are very much hurt and displeased by the whole experience.

They only care about the money not the patients . They sent me wife to the ER twice due to there standard protocol and not paying attention to the patients needs . The Dr over stimulated my 27y/o wife in perfect health (the problem being me with severe male factor ) as if she had the issues. This caused her to develop poor egg quality which lead to an ovary torsion and eventually cause us to suffer an ectopic pregnancy. And now the Dr only calls to see when we want to try again not caring how my wife is doing as we are still dealing with the ectopic pregnancy. All he cares about is when will we pay again .

Dr. Gelman proved to be the key to our success in getting pregnant after a failed attempt at IVF at another clinic. He is on top of his game and utilizes both top of the line medical expertise and a holistic approach to fertility and lifestyle. This sets him way ahead of other doctors and has really made the difference in the treatment he provided to me. He designed a protocol for me that took into consideration issues that were missed and ignored during my first cycle. He addressed every possible angle that could go wrong. His protocol and care worked and we had a cycle that produced more eggs a higher rate of fertilization and our precious baby who is just about to be born.For anyone who has experienced pain during a transfer process Dr. Gelman is the doctor to turn to. My first transfer at my first clinic was painful and traumatic. My transfer with Dr. Gelman was beyond perfect. I had no pain and Dr. G and his team surrounded my husband and I with humor encouragement and all around good vibes through the whole transfer. I am beyond grateful for that.In spite of his expertise and busy schedule he always took the time to respond to all my questions promptly and was never dismissive of my questions. He was always willing to discuss concerns and always treated my husband and I with patience good nature and respect. He made us feel so comfortable and well cared for – an invaluable thing in the cold world of IVF treatments.Dr. Gelman provided the same level of care all the way to my graduation from IVFMD and honestly it was bittersweet leaving his care. Having the right doctor and team is so crucial to staying sane and for success and I will always be truly grateful I found this in Dr. Gelman and his team.

The entire staff is comforting and friendly I personally saw Dr Woods and her nurses and they’ve been great I always got a response back within 24 hours if I left a voicemail or by end of day if I sent an email. If a nurse didn’t know an answer she was great at calling me back after consulting with Dr Woods. After many losses they were very aware and understanding of my hesitation to believe when something went right in a cycle. And any time a cycle didn’t work they were great at keeping my spirits up and letting me know what they learned to adjust for my next cycle. It is a very very busy clinic but they were very mindful of the times I needed to be out by a certain time to meet my class. Sometimes the waiting room was full of people complaining about the wait time but I feel like if you go in with that energy it’s just going to make your experience that much more stressful. There are not enough words to say say thank you for everything you’ve done for us Dr Woods

After years of trying procedures at another clinic where my husband and I felt like a number we did our research and switched to IVF MD and Dr. Gelman. Right away Dr. Gelman evaluated my situation and created a plan we were comfortable with. He made recommendations that hadn’t been recommended at the other practice and they were game changers Every step of the way every visit every discussion I felt well informed and treated well. This clinic was also fair with pricing and transparent. All of it was very professional even during very trying times during the pandemic. At the end of the day we have a gorgeous baby girl and I will always attribute this to Dr. Gelman and his staff.

First appointment was very educational. Second appointment went my wife got blood work and other tests done. Third appointment I went. So after all this which took about a month they made a follow up appointment. Then they call and say we don't have enough done things done for follow up. Supposedly my wife needs more blood work done and I need blood work done. Any reason my wife didn't get her blood work done the day she was there ? Any reason I didn't get blood work done the day I was there ? What a waste of time

Dr.Gelman was highly recommended to me and I will be forever grateful for that referral.His experience and knowledge made all the difference in my hard process.I’m greatly appreciate all of the kindnesscompassion and professionalismnot only from him but from the entire team.There are no words to convey my gratitude for everything you have done.My journey was long and painfulbut they made me feel that I was not alone.I’m very grateful to him and his teamwe are now blessed expecting our miracle baby.I already recommended him to a friend who is pregnant with his help and I will certainly continue to recommend him.I will be forever grateful for everything ❤️

Dr.Gelman is an amazing doctor he is kind very professional and helpful throughout process. THE OFFICE ON THE OTHER HAND IS TOO SLOW IF YOU HAVE ANY APPOINTMENT EVEN IF ITS ONLY LABS JUST TAKE THE ENTIRE DAY OFF IT DOESNT EVEN MATTER IF YOU GO IN AN HOUR BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT. MAKE SURE TO EAT AND STAY HYDRATED CAUSE YOU WILL BE WAITING.
