Jeffrey E Caplan's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Caplan is so caring and skilled. I crushed my hand in a hiking accident while out of town and his office got me in immediately upon my return to Florida. Dr. Caplan did not rush to do surgery. He gave me time to heal. Unfortunately Dr. Caplan did have to operate but he did a great job. His bedside manner is very reassuring. He is not just a great surgeon but has caring, kind personality. His wife is his office manager and she is such a doll too. You are not just a number in his office. They truly care about their patients.

****DO NOT GO HERE!*** Save your money & time!!!! This office has the worst customer service! From the billing department to the doctor that supposed to help those in medical needs. I should’ve noticed something was off when The woman in the billing department was talking to the receptionist like crap. The women in the billing department didn’t even charge my insurance correctly and charged me for the services. After asking her to correct it she yelled at me and hung up the phone in my face. I spoke to Dr. Caplan reference to this issue he responded rudely to me as well. Which was very devastating because I was involved in an car accident prior and suffered a broke finger. I came to this office for help and healing. Instead I was belittled and mistreated. Now I have to find another doctor because my finger is still messed up. Mind you, it’s going on 2 months, my insurance still haven’t received the billing. Thanks to you guys for wasting my time and money. ****DO NOT GO HERE!****

I went to see Dr.Caplan because he is a Memorial Healthcare physician. I am a runner and unfortunally I fell and two of my fingers were badly swollen. When I went to see DR. Caplan, he did not want to look at the xrays or report from the walk in center I went to nor did he take any xrays at this practice. He simply touched my hand and said "if your fingers were broken, you would be uncomfortable". He then gave me a wrap for my fingers, no anti inflam meds and said if "if there is no improvement come back and see me" Well needless to say there was no improvement and I went to seek treatment with another doctor. Who did look at my xrays from the walk in center and did take more xrays, gave me anti inflam meds, steroids and ordered physical therapy. I only gave one star because the office staff was friendly and I was able to get an appointment right away.

Been my Dr for about 5 years... Dr Caplan is very caring and has great bedside manners... Staff is always friendly.. I would recommend DR. CAPLAN to all my family, friends and YOU...

I would not even give this one star if I could; I went to Dr. Caplan for breast surgery after getting a mastectomy on one side. To begin, he was very unprofessional; he was constantly on his phone with his wife whenever I had a meeting with him. He also asked me if I wanted to have pictures of the work he did, which I said no because this was basically surgery to repair the trauma I dealt with due to breast cancer, however, right before surgery, when I was half out of it, he took a picture of me, and there is no telling what he did after the surgery when I was still under. Also, as for the work done; he told me that in order for my breasts to look more even, I should get the other one enlarged a bit so that it would match the "perkiness" of the other completely fake breast. The other healthy breast now has a large amount of scarring on it from the work he did around the nipple area. Also, when I went into his office to complain after the procedure and was crying in his office because of it, he didn't even seem to care in the slightest. Finally, the procedure he suggested was to just go in and put the implant in on the mastectomy side without trying to stretch the skin or anything first which is usual procedure; the result of that was for 2 days straight afterwards, it literally hurt to breath because of the pressure from the skin being so tight after the surgery. This was an extremely painful experience both mentally and physically for me, and I think it is important to share this information to warn others before considering this type of treatment from him.

Very quick to jump into recommending surgery without a thorough explanation of why. He treated 3 symptoms in my hands, only 1 of which had any real effect, I felt as if the other 2 were simply a way to raise the bill while injecting me with medication I didn't need. He's pleasant enough, but doesn't really display an air of competency.

Excellent Doctor and surgeon. Extremely thorough, honest and caring about his patients. I highly recommend his services to everyone.

Our daughters had a bi lateral mastectomy and Dr. Caplan performed the reconstruction. She did not want to go home "flat". Dr. Caplan performed the reconstruction immediately after the mastectomy so she could come home looking an feeling like a woman. His follow up throughout the healing process was meticulous.Today she looks great in a bikini and is cancer free.
