List of Joel Stengel's Reviews
Dr. Stengel is so nice, thorough, and I feel safe under his care.
I really need to make a formal complaint to corporate about the staff. It is extremely inappropriate for the front desk girls and office manager, I don't care how long the doctor is away on vacation for, it is inappropriate for these girls to play doctor and tell the patient "no, you can not have any samples of medication" because these girls feel like judging me and my use of the medication. That is NOT THEIR BUSINESS AT ALL!!!
First time I met him for consultation. He gave me meds for constipation & suggested colonoscopy. After i left his office I felt something is not right. I droppe him right away. searched for another G.I. Thank God I found a better one.
Terrible bedside manor the day of the endoscopy. Arrived after the meds started so I was not able to ask any questions. After he basically disappeared and told me to by over the counter meds.
Dr. Stengel didn't have time to say hello until the drugs started before my endoscopy. After, he left telling me to take over the counter meds, without amounts or why or how long. His office staff greeted me by saying, " write your name on the list". No good morning, or, hello, may I have your name please. When I left it was clear I wasn't feeling good enough to leave, but they hurried you out within 5 minutes of opening your eyes. I would never go back.

My last visit he asked me how I was feeling. I told him I was perfect! Everything was going smoothly. So he decided to order a bunch of tests as if something were wrong with me/my medication stopped working. I mean test that you have to MISS WORK for. I got done some of them but don’t have the time to get them all done by my next infusion. He decided to tell my infusion company (the day I received my medication) that I wasn’t aloud to receive it until an MRI. It took his office almost 5 days to get back to me, with the wrong info!(Communication with this office is horrible!) Now I’m sicker then ever and I’m back to were I started. Now he has a sick patient again!! I feel like this is a little bit of a scam. I havnt felt the way I’m feeling in years. MY DR. IS REFUSING TO LET ME GET BETTER TILL HE GETS HIS KICKBACK. Because of this I will be looking for a new GI
Great demeanor and I feel very comfortable speaking with him. Has a great sense of humor.
He is the best thank you for everything and hes staf

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
