I went to Childress for a rotator cuff problem. Initial appt was at 9:30. His staff was strolling in at 9:30. Second appt same as the first. He sent me for x-rays. On second visit I asked him to tell me about the x-rays so I could relate this to my PT. He ignored me. I asked him for documentation. Ignored again. My PCP provided the information. I have been to 3 ortho specialists in Hollywood FL and can NOT recommend even one.

I have been to Childress' office twice. In both cases the wait time was about 30 minutes. My appt was at 9:30; his staff still was strolling in at 9:30. I told Childress what I needed on the first visit and he complied. He sent me for x-rays. When I returned for the results, Childress said it was a generic rotator cuff issue. When I asked him for specifics he ignored me. I asked him for documentation to take to PT. He ignored me. My PCP provided the information I requested. Hollywood FL has at least 3 ortho specialists; I've been to all three. I cannot recommend even one.

This whole office is horrible, probably because of the Dr. who over books and is quite rude. 45 minutes is a short wait there even if you are the first appointment, which I was. This happened twice. File a complaint with your insurance company like I did about this Dr because he should be doing something else for a living.

I liked the doctor. He knows his business, spent enough time with me and recommend a few options to take care of my issue. I'd give him 5 stars. But I have to take 2 stars off. One for sitting in the waiting room for 40 minutes, and another for his rude, careless assistant who first was trying to explain to me why 40 minutes is a normal waiting time, and second, instead of taking my BP he asked me for the number which I guessed. He quickly recorded it in his computer and ran out the door saying he'll be back in a minute. But he never returned. I only heard him chatting on the phone with someone through an open door, using an F- word a few times in each sentence. 10 minutes later the DR came in

Avoid this doctor by all means. I went in to get my knee checked out because I am in pain and it hurts to walk. Very dismissive, and has an air of arrogance about him. If you do not want to deal with people then maybe you should be teaching medicine instead. He ASKED if I wanted an MRI to which I obviously said yes. MRI results revealed two different problems with said knee, Seriously, do not give this guy your money - Maybe had he been nicer I would feel different, but he is a bit of a jerk.

WARNING this dr is the most rude and unprofessional physician. He outright REFUSES to answer your questions. He will see you for ONE minute then leave you in pain.
