Office staff was nice, but the doctor was pretty dang rude. I am going to find a new provider

One star is being generous. After waiting months for an appointment, ignored repeated verbal requests for written estimate of scheduled cataract surgical costs. Typed a professional letter, faxed it over, next day, surgical coordinator cancelled my surgery. She said I asked too many questions. Help line: No Surprises Act 800/985-3059 to file complaints.

I went to the office for a cataract and they did the exam. After that is when the service went downhill. I was told someone would reach out to me soon to schedule the surgery but three weeks and a phone call and no response. I spoke to the receptionist and she said they would call me by the end of the day and that was two weeks ago. Looks like I have to start all over at another doctor. So they eventually scheduled my surgery and everything went great. Having my eye worked on was a little scary for me but Dr Wise did a great job so I am upping my review. I now have 20/20 vision in that eye.

You can't make a appointment always put on hold

After two hours of testing, Dr. Wise informed me that I should not put off cataract surgery. He explained different IOL options, but excused himself when I inquired about costs. His surgical coordinator handed me scrap paper and wrote notes in pencil. The blade surgery with monofocal lens had no cost listed. I submitted a written request for estimated costs , specifically focusing on price of the IOL by fax on a Friday. On Monday, May 17th, she informed me both she and Dr. Wise were cancelling my surgery because they were annoyed and uncomfortable with my questions. To say I was shocked and horrified by their punitive behavior would be the understatement of the year!

Worst service I’ve ever had. I have been waiting for appointment to cataracts surgery since July 2021. I paid them $100 for required test previous surgery, that they said my insurance didn’t cover. The staff is rude, they don’t answer the phone neither call you back. Their clinic needs to be updated. They don’t wipe surfaces on equipment after used with previous patient. Don’t waist your time going there.

THIS WAS MY WORST EXPERIENCE, I SUGGEST UPDATING THEIR EQUIPMENT AND THAT'S putting it nicely. My pupils were dilated and I'm still experiencing discomfort I suggest this office review their business practices when it comes to their customers needs, I wasn't even offered sunglasses to drive home with.

This by far has been the worst experience and it was only to make an appointment. I was put on hold for 15 minutes, I called back the receptionist told me she was busy and so I waited (20 more minutes) called back third time and she just placed me on hold again. The receptionist stated that she could not find my father in the records ( he had surgery with Dr Weiss) I guess she could not be bothered to look for records. Definitely will not go there again. Staff is horrible.

This Dr.’s office used the bait and switch routine on me! After waiting for over a month for my appointment they called me up the day before my appointment trying to scam me out of an additional $100. When my initial appointment was made, I was assured that there’d be no additional charges other than the usual and customary copayment. Buyer Beware!!
